    @@johnrankin7135 It's actually less arbitrary because it's descriptive so you can understand part of the rating. A rating makes very little sense if you don't have a strict chart explain why it is rated this way.

    I suppose. But it seems to me like he only takes a bite or two of each poutine, so even though it's excessive in terms of salt and fat, it doesn't appear to me like anything to be alarmed about.

    Kuro Neko so what you’re looking for is this type of restaurant called “casse-croûte” they’re basically little mom and pop restaurants on the side of the highway when you’re going outside of Montreal they serve great classic poutines, burgers, hot dogs etc. and they are found in a lot of these little town around Montreal (and even in Montreal) like st jovite, st Jerome, st Adèle (And there are so many more...)

    Proper flaps and that mini-belt holding counterfold in place is always 10/10 but dang that colour... Got my father a similar one with camel wool and some other bs but can't find anything like that for my size in a decent price range :(

    I first heard about poutine over 7 years ago, and to this day I am still obsessed with this Canadia staple. It should also be noted that I live in Texas and have never seen poutine in person, I just watch way too many poutine related videos

    I also live in Texas and I travelled to Montreal a couple years ago and went into one of these corner deli poutine pizza shops near the farmers market and I told the proprietor that this is the first poutine of my life so it's a lot of pressure it better be good. And after he served it to me he came and sat at the table with me and talked with me about how my experience was lol.... it was pretty good. I wish this dish was more widespread.

    There's a Portuguese chicken place right across the block from la Banquise called Ma Poule mouillée. They do an awesome poutine that includes their fire roasted chicken, sausage, and spicy piri piri sauce. If the place isn't on fire then its a great alternative to go to!

    @@batman81022 my man, the best Maine lobster is in Boston, the best Rhode Island crab cakes are in Boston, the best Connecticut pizza is in Boston.....and well.....NH has fireworks i guess....but you can even get the best Vermont ice cream in Boston.

    If y'all want to get real technical the lobster roll was invented in Connecticut. So sure Boston makes them too. But the best lobster and lobster roll you can get is in Maine.
