I could listen to Dagan talking for two days about the perfect guitar rig.

I'm a simple guy, I see Dagan, I click, I learn.

My iso brick is one of my favorite pieces of gear. Can get different tones from pedals by upping the voltage (especially tube pedals) and the old wiring in my house gave me major grounding issues that the iso brick solved.

I always take a 2-way extension lead, a spare guitar lead, a couple spare patch leads, a stand, a couple 9v batteries and a bunch of picks. But most important is labelling all your gear with tape or whatever! In the general boozy social melee after a gig you can bet something will accidentally get packed up by someone else and be lost to the ether

Wireless systems are great as long as you don't land a gig in an air force base.

Most new wireless systems are digital! So there’s no interference from other rogue frequencies. Gone are they days of picking up police radio through your Marshall Stack! 😂

No. 12. Bungee Cord for when your get away driver takes off at 60mph and your van doors aren't secure. I was honestly ejected from a Transit van when our driver took off at high speed....Thanks Johnny Fastlane, I'll never forget you.

Hard gun cases might work really well if you want a hard case. Most come with pick and pluck foam. If you live in the states, harbor freight apache cases are pretty much exactlu the same as pelican cases (water and dust proof, pick and pluck foam etc). Apache cases are good stuff

Thanks for your effort in putting this video together. Having a backup-plan with all the gear shown in this vid can save you a heap of unnecessary stress on the day. Yeah,, for some viewers your vid may seem self-explanatory, but for the *newbies* you'd be surprised how *good-quality, reliable gear* makes all the difference! Oh, and don't forget to *label everything at both ends for troubleshooting* Personally, I bring an almost identical rig to all my gigs.with an ABY pedal to quickly switch to an entirely different rig if something fails. I can then check it over (and hopefully fix it) during a break in the set list Thanks again to PMTVUK and Dagan for your hard work on this. Peace dude, 🙏

Will you review the Fender Micro Mustang Headphone amp?

I'm a huge amature at guitar, I really don't even know how a live guitar rig completely works and I get really confused about this type of stuff. This video helped a little bit but I still get super confused.

If you want to get really crazy during your live shows I would make your spare guitar really cheap( I really like the epiphone SL guitars because they can take a beating and they sound great for what they are) but you should always have a guitar if you want to do some crazy stage antics to beat up and throw around or smash or whatever you want to do with it.

I definitely need a isolated pedal power supply. I also get noise from my amp especially when playing at home. What could you recommend for suppressing noise in the power going to amps?

What guitar are you using? If you’re playing a strat without humbuckers or something you’re always going to get a load of hum

Need to talk to dagan, im getting a vox vt20x. How do I get a good 80s tone on the amp, need dagan cause he knows alot about 80s tone.

And then there's me with an Epi LP and a Katana 50, with no money, so i can't even buy a new cable xD.

What's a good soft case/ guitar stand for a Explorer?

For stands, the only ones I have ever felt comfortable using with my explorer are the Hercules stands like Dagan shows at 15:45 since they support from the headstock and don't rely on the awkward shape of the bottom of the body to support the guitar like "traditional" stands do. You can also set the stand height higher so you don't have to worry about dinging up the lower horn because the guitar sits too close to the ground, making them ideal for awkward or pointy guitars. As far as cases, I bit the bullet right away and bought the specific hardshell case for mine right away. I would recommend that since explorers are oversized and awkward shaped, making finding generic cases, hard or soft, quite a challenge.

@@MDC249 oh, OK stuck up guitar snob......I've never bought one that cheap either, but they're still an industry staple and if you've paid attention then you've seen them around. Regardless... as an example... all Taylor guitars come with soft gig bags and they're nice. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️
