Love the May makes! My youngest is just a few years older (23 this Sept.) and is Colin also. 😊 handsome young man there Mom! He was so sweet being involved with the sewing. My Colin is also really sweet and supportive. Our children are such a blessing. I miss the homeschooling days. They grow up so, so fast. I can hardly believe it. God bless and keep your precious family.

All marvelous, but my favorite is the last outfit; it looks especially great on you. It's nice to have a family that appreciates your work. It tickled me that Collin had it all planned exactly how he would accessorize the shorts.

At first I was all "does she have pants on?" and then I saw the shorts. Thanks to you, I pulled out the sewing machine, took some scrap material and made a top to see if I could with your hints. I did, so I'm going to make it with real material!! I've never used binding for a neckline before and it was SO EASY! Please do more construction videos!!!

So I have become addicted to sewing videos on KZread - mostly thanks to you and I have to say, you need to have your own DIY channel because your natural freshness is so fun to watch. I don't know if I'm the only one, but I did suggest a little rug for her show and tells, and hate had nothing to do with it. I am subscribed to this channel, and have posted Vivmom's link to my facebook for all my friends because I love her videos! I am 68, and maybe it's partly my age, but I found the extra noise to be a distraction from hearing what Vivmom was saying. I was very happy to see she took up the suggestion, whether from me or someone else, and added the little rug. I know it's a little more effort for her, but I GREATLY appreciated it! Thanks, Vivmom! I want to share a photo with you, but can't find your facebook to do that, but I thought I wrote to you on a facebook page previously?

I love the belted waist on you- it highlights your waist. Sometimes the drape of some fabrics over a fuller bust makes it look like the person has a thicker waist. You have a very small waist so the cinching in looks beautiful. You also have the perfect legs for shorter lengths but all lengths look great on you.

It possibly helps that I live approximately 30 minutes from Del Mar. (I lived all my life (57 yrs.) in same area & I have never been to the races.) Oh, my favorite on you is the black dress. I always like the trims on the bottom of your dresses. Well, I just like everything as usual! God Bless.

I can't tell you how much I enjoy your videos. Brad and Colin add a nice touch also. Dress S1810 suggestion. Try crossing the belt in the back first then bringing it around to the front to tie. My thoughts are twofold, crossing your belt in the back first would make it a bit shorter in the front and this would also distribute the fullness around your waist more evenly (it looks fuller in the front, and nobody needs that). Otherwise I like the long ties. Love the color blocked outfit!! You look fabulous in it.

I appreciate your enthusiasm, your free-thought narrative, your real life modeling of the pieces and fabrics, and you frank discussion of how the patterns. I gives me hope to know that sometimes the pattern is just bad, and it's not necessarily my fault! I will echo what Nancy said below. Kudos to your hubby and son. Those makes were great! And that fabric for the shorts looked perfect.☀️ Hahaha! Whoever made comments on the shoes on wood floor I’m absolutely sure they don’t have or like wood floors...🤔😆 I will just comment personally here about the long dress with the long front tie. I was noticing as you untied it to show different tying options... I think the longer tie ‘tails’ blend in more with the longer dress, so that (to me) it looked like it all flowed together better, than perhaps it would with a short tie, since it’s a long dress. Just my thoughts. And whether or not you end up liking the dress, I think it’s beautiful and love the fabric. And that last 3-piece outfit with the color block skirt... A W E S O M E! Wow! Did I love that? I did!🤩 I could see the same pattern made from more holiday-ish fabric for a beautiful Christmas outfit! I’m afraid I no longer do skirts, but I’d definitely do that with some pants. Everything was an A+. Loved it all, and the video! Thanks! And thank you, LORD, for the beautiful sunshine!☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️🌷

I love to see the fabric selections you buy. At first I thought they were hideous, ugly and ‘what were you thinking?’. When you make these ‘dreadful’ prints into garments, what a surprise! The print looks great! And the pattern complements the fabric! Really impressive and inspiring, too. As far as types of fabrics, I am no longer hesitant to consider rayon or ITY knits. I don't usually thing this - but I really love them all this month! Especially that tie-dyed knit top. The LBD is so cute and flattering - I just ran across a similar pattern about half an hour ago - planning things out, etc. I didn't think I'd like it but yours looks so good that I might try it! You have so many great tips - cutting at the lengthen/shorten line, adding trim at the hem, using an embroidery stitch at the hem! Who among us ever actually uses those stitches? Well done. Beautiful.

Love your new sews. I especially like the leaf motif bolero, beige tank, and the two-tone skirt. If I were to make the bolero, I would extend the length to where it meets the dark brown of the skirt. That way, when seen from behind, it would appear more stream-lined. I do like my tops a little longer. However, you look smashing in this outfit. I just love your videos. You exceed many of the women who have been on the sewing front for years. I enjoy your fresh, honest approach to sewing. And I do appreciate your encouragement.

Viv: That last ensemble you put together with the kimono is lovely. You really show your creativity with the changes to the finishing of the edge and the embroidery on the bottom of the skirt. Inspiring to see. I also like the shorts. I remember when you bought that fabric, so it is nice to see the finished garment. Also like the camp shirt in the quilting cotton. As always, you are inspiring and give great ideas. You are a joy to watch. Take care, and peace to you.

I liked so many of these, especially Colin's shorts, and your PIA black dress. I need to go back now and note some of these pattern numbers. 😉 Thanks, can't wait til your next video!

Hi Viv! Another fun video. I'm so glad you got your inspiration back. Love the color blocked skirt and tops. That tank with wide straps looks like a good one to hide bra straps. I'll have to check it out. You look great with a belt. Great makes as usual as well as the sleeve lengthening tip. Enjoy the summer weather!

Oh my, each month keeps getting better and better. Loved last look. Kimono is my style of dressing. Two genius things you did that I liked: 1) dark band around bottom of skirt (unexpected) and 2) top of skirt same material as tank (gives the look of a dress rather than two pieces under there.) Fyi I am now finally caught up with ALL of your videos. Enjoyed going through them all. Especially fun to see fabric from earlier video show up in a later video as a completed garment. Btw Collin is quite adorable. And the party dress on beautiful daughter is stunning.

You are so inspiring💝💕 keep up the great work. Btw you and your whole family are gorgeous! Like the Ken and Barbie with kids in normal life. I love that they support your sewing too. My family has always supported mine as well but I've never really tried to sew for the grown men so I've watched you with your husband now several times and now I've decided to show my husband what there is to offer men real manly men not just PJ's and such.

That last outfit is one of my favories...and as usual, you look like a model....you have got all the attributes necessary....You should go into doing that...You look like a pro gal. You remind me of a Doris Day...she was so pretty and sweet as you are.
