+VisioRacer Obviously, cars from Argentina. ummm... There's the IKA renault torino (inline-6, also, there was an iconic model named "w380 nurburgring"), the ford falcon (also, inline-6), the dodge gtx (one of the fewest v8's of our country), and a lotta more.

Even with a 100-gallon lube oil tank, the R-4360 didn't have an oil change interval. Its oil consumption was prodigious enough to make regular oil changes unnecessary. Periodically topping off the tank was enough.

You never knew Lambo used a V8? Road & Track did a road test of the Lamborghini Urraco back in the '70s. At the time I didn't think the Urraco was very good looking, but then I was still in love (Alas! unrequited!) with the Miura, which I thought was the motoring equivalent of Sophia Loren.

Suggestion: the Scania DC16 diesel engines. There are multiple versions: the "smallest" being aV8 with 500HP and 15.6L of displacement with 2500 Nm and the biggest being a 16.4L V8 with 730HP and 3500 Nm. They are used in the newest generations of Scania trucks and other heavy machinery

The jet bike in the movie Torque was a MTT Y2k jet bike and was a limited production bike from 2000 till 2005. MTT no longer develops this bike but another company had taken it over and a newer version of the bike has been worked on over the years. I am not sure if it is in production or not at this time, but it did break 3 world records in 2014 I believe for a production motorcycle. The original also held a Guinness record for fastest production motorcycle.

That Tatra air cooled V10 is diesel hence the "direct injection". I guess that is pointed out due to the fact that when the engine was introduced in 1983 most other diesel engines used "indirect injection" where the injector fires into a smaller pre-combustion chamber before where the flame front starts and moves to the main combustion chamber. Cool design non the less.

The boxer/flat 8. Literally the best of both worlds between the flatplane V8 and the crossplane V8. Revs, Responsiveness, AND torque, with a hybrid sound that -arguably- beats out V12's and V10's. Imagine how much better the 918 {and shitloads of other cars} would be with a flat-8/boxer-8.

+H31MU7 I've picked up a little in my lifetime by talkin with the older guys, and hangin around an airport 👍 Some of those old radials had a compression release or a way to drain the oil out of the bottom facing cylinders quickly before a startup, if ya didn't drain em you could bend a rod in startup from hydrolock. lol so if you ever come across one and need to start it , don't forget that 😂

Followed and subscribed. I don't normally follow on G+ but your videos are great! Can you do one on alternative engines? You know, like semi diesels, rotarys, etc.? Thanks!

It was used by Lanz Bulldog tractors and is also called a hot-bulb engine. As I understand it, it is on the borderline between a gas and a diesel as far as compression (I think). In other words, very high comp for gas eng, fairly low for diesel. Kinda like a gas engine that spark knocks really bad, but efficient.

You got that R4360 engine in this video which I stated in a comment in an earlier video. Incorporate the Deltic engine in the next one, lot of footage to find, either showing the inner workings and the locomotives they were used in, they sound rather awesome for a large diesel. All opposed piston diesels are 2-strokes by the way, as there are no heads to fit valves in, the pistons themselves act as valves, having ports in the cylinder sleeve (the injector sits between these in the middle). The movement of one piston is slightly delayed, so the pistons in each cylinder don't reach top dead point at the same moment, in this way in and exhaust port are not opening and closing at the same moment and scavenging is better than in a normal 2-stroke engine.

Ah, you mentioned train engine, the good old Napier Deltic, even if you didn't show it. How about the mother of train engines, the Paxman Valenta, original powerplant of the InterCity 125 HST
