why wouldn't they add a usbc port that you can plug something into? they only have one for power and tthe one to plug into the ipad. does that seem a miss to anyone else?

my experience with this hub was totally different. I could not get it to work with my monitor at all. I had to back to the Apple Dongle

I play touch instruments in Garage band, 🎹will the stand hold up to my tapping the touchscreen forcefully❓ I'm not hammering, just tapping and swiping a little more than what I would when touch-typing. what makes this just for apple? why not android and apple??

Bit of an off topic question: How do you keep the iPad screen so clean? It looks like it just came out of the box. Mine never looked the same after I started using it, and I've tried many ways of cleaning it.

😁 we wipe it in between takes. Deep pile micro fibre cloths are all that's needed - no cleaning fluid. These are the ones we use: amzn.to/3XlXZj1 They last for ages and can be washed, and they won't damage your screen.

Yep. The use of any wet wipes, cleaning liquids or sprays must be avoided. They just ruin screens.

the moment you took if of the stand, i said shame...wouldn't be amazing if the implemented smart connector connection for the dock, so you just put it on stand and it works?

That would be amazing, but my guess is that it would only work for charging - I'm guessing the smart connector can't deliver USB-C performance. Would be awesome if it could though!

I already use a hub with my ipad pro but am mindful of the potential dangers of leaving the ipad plugged into a charger 24/7 - the concern about this stand, is that it would encourage this behaviour as the cables are “out of sight” to an extent. Curiously the hub that I use, if I leave it plugged into the ipad for too long a period (e.g. Overnight), it forces the ipad to restart (needs. a PIN to login as opposed to face ID), so I only use it now when needed - not a big problem but curious non-ideal behaviour.

Something interesting is that My old iPad 8 used to stop charge at 80% when I used the hub that I use at home where it stays connected all day long. With the iPad pro 2022 it just keep charging to full 100, so they downgraded the behavior? Not rare for apple to downgrade

Does this work with the 11 inch ipad m4 ?

Looks like Apple have changed the magnet positions. 🙄 Just tried it with an 11-inch M4 model and it's not secure.

It takes you to a search because it looks like Amazon UK don't have them at the moment. I'll adjust the link to go to the Qwiizlab brand. They do have the 12.9" version.
