    Anna, yesterday I went out to socialize in a group setting for the first time in forever after years of completely isolating myself and shutting myself off from the world. I just wanted to share because I realized I had C-PTSD last spring and your videos have been and continue to be a great part of that journey. I mean it 100% that I wouldn’t have been able to do what I did yesterday, and even have fun with little to no anxiety afterwards, if it weren’t for finding this channel. I’m still a little in shock over being able to feel not only so okay but even good about being alive as I am right now. Thank you for being the kind bright light that you are, and to anyone reading this who might fear they’ll always be “stuck”, please know there is so much hope for us all ❤❤❤

    I have a friend, who lives in Jerusalem, dresses in purple & gives "kindness cards" (google it, not a product, more of an idea, not for profit) to everybody she interacts with. Every clerk, in every shop, every driver, every soldier, every tourist, anyone she interacts with. Because she can. I am still impressed/grateful to know she's real. "What am I avoiding?" is a question I ask not often enough. Fighting the urge to talk negative, not only works but it stops creating the negative. Talking less. Challenging myself with long periods of peaceful being quiet. Like not practicing witty retorts to the news. Life is not a sitcom. Practicing accepting as is instead of practicing labeling, judging, blaming, even with what I think of this or that Tweet, story, film, comment IRL on the street. So they said it. So what? It's good practice. Gratitude for no pain in this moment. For safety now. For a place to sleep. Food in the stomach. Fresh air & water. Simple things. A little girl with goldilocks curls in the pharmacy. I personally do better without a rigid routine. Group work triggers me. SInging along to laptop karaoke & dancing with dogs is more my cuppa tea. To each his/her/its own. Nice to have some company/community/connection, here, even if not a lot of interaction yet.

    I put a quater in a small clear glass each time I do a thing for one hour. I have a cup for work around the house ( that I don't like doing like washing dishes), a cup for taking care of me ( nice movie, bath, massage) and a cup for work. I love placing those quaters in the cups and it keeps me going and keeps me organized. I end up with 12 quaters in the 3 glasses per day in average and accomplish so much this way. I created this technique. Keeps me going and keeps me satisfied. I enjoy counting my quaters at the end of the day, placing them back in the large pot and the next day, I restart my 3 glass routine 🙂. The sound of the coins, the encouragement of writing what I did for that specific quater on a page placed under each cup, the visual of the stacked coins all combined does something to my brain that likes this and becomes more regulated. This video is a quater in my self care cup for example.

    I can attest to this..up at 530 mon-fri, and I work out at least 20-40 minutes. I run in the Summer months when the sun is up, and bought a treadmill for the winter months. I give myself plenty of time to have my coffee and get ready for work. That way I'm not rushing out the door. This has helped tremendously with my mood. It really makes my day better. Some days are harder to get out of bed, but I find once I start moving my body my endorphins dramatically increase. I stopped taking meds about 3 years ago, and I can't reccomend enough the importance of exercise and a daily routine.

Similar to your self examination vids, I had to address my own stagnation. I have a better understanding of my own development from childhood, young adulthood, and subsequent adult. Being that selfish (in a healthy way) has led to the quieting of my own mind. I am more at peace than I ever was prior to watching your vids.

    @@Dr.JustIsWrong sorry to be the smartass here but the hard part IMO is overturning this deeply ingrained false belief that putting yourself first is selfish, wrong, bad. Because yes if you keep believing that then it will always feel like a very hard thing to do. It is taking good care of the most important person in your life which is you, and it is your duty to do that, just as the duty of the airplane instruction of putting your own oxygen mask on first, before you put your childs oxygen mask on. 🍀✌️

    Thank you, it came in the right time. I went down these last 12 months. A few hours ago, those depressive thoughts started again... There was a reel from someone a few days ago that changed my perception: keep doing the positive things, here and there. It's the overall of the little actions that help the whole. Try and see if it doesn't change. Pick a huge glass full of water and start dropping a few drops of corant or a coloured drink. Keep pouring little by little, and see if nothing changes. Looking at the little things we do, thinking they're are the drops of colour in ourselves ❤

    Can I just get this out please : I shut my brain down 50 years ago when I was 4.5 years old after I was kidnapped in the morning at school (went to bathroom) When I got out of the bathroom a man was standing there and he kidnapped me three me in his car Drove me a few blocks to a field where he violently attacked raped, Penetrated me with a large stick on and on he said he was going to the car to get a knife and be right back to kill me while he was gone a jogger miraculously Came by and saw my head lifted up and I left it at my arm even though I was paralyzed from head to toe, Hey scoop me up and ran me back to school. When I found out my parents weren’t going to do anything after they take me to the doctors and bandaged me up, I shut down because I didn’t get any help. 50 years later I remember now because four family members died and it shook my brain up enough to remember. So now I have seen PTSD and it is horrible and doctors don’t know how to treat it properly with the right medications. I am in hell

I laughed and said I was proof positive that was dead wrong cause we’ve been finding secret passages to not deal (DID), she looked back at me (considering I was there b/c inner world explosion and Dissociation Identity Disorder) and asked how that’s been working so far. That was a AHA moment. It’s hard, messy, sucks…and you get to choose! Good Luck. Sending you much ❤

    Anna, this is one of your most important Videos for me ! 😊 Thank you 💐 What i also recommend is taking the whole range of the B- Vitamins. Because our nervous System is often exhausted. Also supporting the Liver is very important, because she is connected to feelings like Angryness and Bitterness. Bitter Herbs like Silymarine ( there are special Plant Mixtures for the Liver) support her. It gives us Energy back and boost our Mood. I have such good expieriences with this. 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽💖

I don't want to argue with this person so I always walk away. She hates that and has called me out on it before but I still walk away because I don't want to deal with her.

    I know that no one should “cling to a diagnosis or idea” however over the last 5 days, you have shed a light on my dark pathway where I’ve tripped, fallen, hurt myself and others, adopted such a negative view of my dark pathway. Lost is an understatement. I’ve kept going on that path even when I hated it, being stubborn has aided that. Some days I sat down in the dark crying for light, directions and reasons why this dark path is still beautiful. A light came on and I truly believe that what I do with that little light now, will directly affect the brightness of that light going forward. I’m the dimmer switch and I refuse to live in the dark anymore.

Coming to terms with no one’s coming to save us & humanity is a huge disappointment; and somehow this has freed us that we don’t want most of humanity to engage with because they at such lower vibration. No more chasing anyone to be my friend. We’ve been learning how to in communication with one another and that we are enough. Spend our time creating.

    It's interesting because a good few of the things listed here are what I have been doing to fulfil a "craving" sort of feeling, without realising it was probably my mind telling me to do it to reregulate. I've been doing stuff such as making the 20 minute walk home from work rather than jumping on a bus, following cardio workouts (sort of a virtual version of the moving in groups tip), avoiding getting involved in negative "chit-chat" with colleagues, praying -- and since taking up the daily practice about two months ago, I find I crave doing that too. One thing I am hesitant to try is waking up an hour early! And not just for the obvious reason of squeezing in more zs, but also because from past experience I have come to realise that if there is any amount of time "spare" before I leave the house for work, I become restless and dysregulated; unable to peel my eyes off the clock and actually use that time productively.

    I apologize in advance for my poor english. I'm not good at expressing myself but I find it easy to understand what I listen to. I've always found it hard to accept and embrace the truth of "even a little positive change is worth it". Somehow, here I am hearing these words from a stranger and thinking "maybe I could allow myself to feel good about this thought". I'm trying to figure it out why it makes me feel such a "failure" to think that is ok to aim for a little improvement. Meanwhile, I just want to thank you and let you know that your voice and smile are so much appreciated. I bet you are helping many souls. Thanks..

  • @smileyface702

    @smileyface702

    My personal opinion is that you (1) have to be desperate enough to make a change and (2) you have to set yourself a goal that's as a miniscule as possible. Don't bite off too much at once. For example, set yourself the goal of getting up, getting dressed, and then going outside for just two minutes. A promise to go outside only for 2 minutes and then come back in. Set a timer. After doing this every day for a while, you'll start to become the sort of person who *consistently* gets up and goes outside at a regular time to exercise. And then it becomes easier to increase the time spent exercising from there. And (c) if you're really sensitive to the cold, maybe go outside dressed very warmly at first. You can maybe take layers off once you start to get too warm from the exercise.

    Similar, i do not enjoy most exercise. 99.9% does not get my endorphins going. The only exercise I did like (rollerskating) I cannot do any longer as I went too many decades without it and the last time i did it (a few years ago), i broke my back and got a concussion when a horse-playing young teen clipped the back of my knee / multiple bounces. Doc says bones are too brittle and the next fall might paralyze me. That would lead to a worse depression. Motivation is hard to muster for other things on the list. I have joined 2 walking meetup groups and have only gone once in 6 years. It's too hot (pass out from heat), too cold (raynauds and get sick when cold), too windy (prone to ear infections w/ a poor immune system) ... I will try to be more kind, but because I hermtize, there is no secret, somebody always finds out. Feels like a knife in my gut when i lie & say i'm fine when i'm not, so i stopped. I just say i'm here or change the subject to something neutral or positive that has nothing to do with me - weather, how nice someone looks that day, retelling a kindness i witnessed (not did), etc. It helps for a few minutes, then i concentrate on my work.
