I am Korean American. I think the reason why Koreans are generally nice is because of the culture of "Jung", which could probably means... like "deep care"?? within people. That could be why many people would help, pay, fight for someone who are in need. But there is a bad side of "Jung" too. People care about other people so they could ask about your personal life like, "why did you not get marry?" even though they just met you today. Some people feel very annoyed with those personal interfering but again, there is good side like helping other people.

I think especially in Seoul, which is more international compared to other cities, but also in other parts of Korea, people will be friendly towards foreigners in general because Koreans always feel like we not only represent ourselves but our country when we meet foreigners. When Koreans go overseas, we are usually very careful because we have a strong desire to represent our country with dignity and honor. Of course we also have the "정" factor as well which is a big part of our culture.

Visit small private stores which are called gol-mok ga-ge Ask people and visit there then you will see most of things are very cheap compared to other major cities. Visit Dong-Myo in Seoul that the cheapest place you could buy things what you want. But I respect your opinion due to the fact that you are conveying quite right true things to people and appreciate for visiting to Korea^^

I am a big fan of you. Im not judging you but I as a Korean just want to correct something which is a bit wrong. Average salary in a month for those who are just graduated in four-year college started around $30,000 yearly. As far as I know, basic construction workers earn 120-150$ a day in depends of their skills. Most interesting part in Korea is we do not promote importing work force from foreign countries unlike other developed countries since we are proud of our self as one ethnic country(Korean). I am happy for you to enjoy Korean trip or vacation. It is always joyful to look at the view of my home country from eyes of foreigners. From Sean in NY.

Maybe she only spoke with high paid tech workers in Seoul. It is sort of like comparing wages in Silicon Valley and Wall Street to the rest of America. There is a huge gap!

Actually Korea's average salary isn't as high as what she have told.. Average salary of normal people who have graduated university gets are about average of $33,000 and this differs by what they have majored. Anyway I liked your video thanks for saying good things about Korea :)

33000usd is south korean GDP per person in 2019. Maybe your meaning of avg. 33k usd might be for the people who just graduated from a university as a freshman. Of course, if you are an IT engineer, your salary can be over 100k usd easily in south Korea from the 1st year even you just graduated from a college.

@@loveseoulmarui1502 ?? IT is horribly underpaid in most Asian countries, South Korea included.. Rather, IT is really well paid in the US, you won't command salaries like that in most parts of the world unless you're very well specialized. Oh and.. who graduates as a freshman?
