John Byrne used to frequent a comic shop I used to use in Calgary. I met him there a few times and we talked a bit about him and his work. He was always nice to me.

Not sure how you're claiming this is every member of Alpha Flight. You've left off more than you included. Where's Sasquatch, Marina, Box, Madison Jeffries, Wild child, Talisman and a lot more? What about the 3 other versions of Nemesis that were all earlier than Heather? What about Heather's earlier turn in the team as Guardian/Vindicator? Did you actually read the comic?

ALPHA FLIGHT is,in the opinion of a hardcore comic books fan&reader for 50 years [ME],the best&most interesting superheroes team alongside The X-Men that ever came out from marvel thanks to the genius who made mutants the powerhouse they are since the late seventies:SENSEI JOHN BYRNE. Unfortunately,Byrne himself although being the creator of Alpha Flight,never liked them and never gave the group the importance they deserved.So sad. Side note:before the JIM LEE [Byrne's rightful heir] X-MEN #1,ALPHA FLIGHT's first number was the highest selling comic book of all time. We,the fans,always gave both AF & JB all the importance & value they always deserved. THANKS for the marvelous vídeo 🇨🇦

Interestingly Sasquatch can be seen every group shot of this video, yet he is not in it. More importantly I wouldn't count Daken as a prominent member of the Flight while you didn't mention many important heroes like Madison Jefferies/Box, Wild Child, Marrina etc.

So, there's this whole part for Nemesis you might want to update. She's a mother now. Also, her sword is part of the gear of the 'Nemesis' identity. The sword feeds off of life energy. Previous users were undead and didn't notice the effects. She currently weakens every time she uses the powers of teleportation of the sword. It can kill her if left unchecked.

Northstar and Aurora have gotten a lot of quality characterization in X-Men books in the past decade and I'm here for it. Love those two.

Since WHEN Heather Hudson became Nemesis??? Last time I checked, she took the mantle and place of her husband James then later, she became Vindicator... so WTF? Also, no Sasquatch, Marina, Box, Wildchild/wildheart, Windchield or Diamond Lil... thats just too bad.

This is a prime time to introduce Alpha Flight in the MCU. With the Avengers disbanded, it would be good to see other teams step in to fill the void. Even if those teams were from different countries and sponsored by those governments. A good story to be adapted.

Good video! Couple of things though: One where was Sasquatch? And two highly doubt that many people are looking for Alpha Flight in the MCU.

Yessss. I want them to be in live action sooo bad. They're so diverse. I loved that episode from xmen animated series that featured alpha flight. They were so cool.

Box is my favorite character from alpha flight his interaction with forge is unforgettable.

I always liked Alpha Flight and Excalibur the most..

I used to have issues 1 thru 12, because of John Byrne's art. These are the issues that helped me be a moderately good comics artist back in the 80's. Including his runs on X-Men and the Hulk.

Agreed. I'd love to see Alpha Flight on the big screen.

Great video! AF is one of my favorite teams. I was 8 when they hit the stands in 1984 and I loved all of their power sets.

Ever since the 80s I loved this team. One day at the comic store about 92 I was tal,talking, about how good the were in the and I had every issue or anything that had them on it , my friend made jokes about it they didn't like them and I didn't care. After my friends left the owner asked me why I like them, so I said because I really just enjoy them. He looked and said that was the best reason anyone can give

I came across an annual for Alpha Flight back in the late 80's while shopping with my mom. Bought it out of curiosity. Liked it but wanted to learn more about AF. Sadly that was the only issue. Everthing else was X-Men, Avengers, and some DC books. Around my first job there used to be a flea market. There was a guy and his son. While looking through the A's I came across some back issues. Bought then and fell in love with the book. Went back every other weekend and would buy more issues. Sadly they stopped coming to the area. When I moved to Pittsburgh in 89-91 I would visit a small comic shop and buy comics from them (miss how affordable they used to be).

Back in like 85 or 86 this was my favorite comic book series... Back when u went to the actual store to grab a few comics then read them on the bus ride home... LOL

You left out Sasquatch, Marina, Vindicator, Box, and Talisman. I absolutely loved Alpha Flight and used to draw all of these characters.

I always thought the Guardian/Vindicator wraparound flag costume was one of the best ones out there.

I understand that creators want to make content but if you don’t know about a subject then you shouldn’t be making content about it. It’s insane not to include Sasquatch which at one point is mispronounced and Marina was an OG member. Madison Jeffries, Talisman and Box were just as important but for me the most glaring omission is how Heather has only been Nemesis since 2023…there were THREE other Nemesis-es before her and she was way more important as Vindicator first and then Guardian. Delete, do some basic research and then try again Marvelous Videos. Misinformation is so lazy when you can use google, Wikipedia or preferably actual read the source material.

Can you do a video with and about all the female characters with the same web shooting and wall crawling abilities or similar ones of Spider-Man (Spider-Girls) from the original and main Marvel universe (Earth 616)? And one about the original Spider-Woman (Jessica Drew) from that same universe? Or another about Spider-Girl (May Parker), the daughter of Peter Parker/Spider-Man and Mary Jane Watson? I would love to see those ones. This message is for Marvelous Videos, the creator of these videos.

They should show up in the MCU looking super menacing and then just be really, really polite and too nice to fight anyone and talk in stereotypical Canadian accents... I could see this in Deadpool

This video may have been better served if they focused on the very beginning of their appearances in X-Men and then, shortly after, their own series. Also, John Byrne's run on this comic has never been beaten, in my opinion.

In Marvel Comics, Sasquatch is a member of the Canadian superhero team Alpha Flight. His real name is Walter Langkowski, and he is the only non-mutant member of the team. Sasquatch is Gamma-irradiated and has a similar origin to the Hulk. In one story, the Canadian government captures a Sasquatch and forces it to serve Alpha Flight, assuming it is Langkowski with amnesia. When the creature is killed, Walter is assumed dead. Sasquatch has fought the X-Men, the Hulk, the Wendigo, and the Great Beast Tundra.🦸‍♂️

Pretty decent vid...accounting for the latest iteration of the team seen in the recent 4-issue Fall o X miniseries, where Heather is Nemesis. I wish this was more related to John Byrne's AF though. My one tiny nit would be the pronunciations of some of the names.

Come on MCU. We want an Alpha Flight movie!

Snowbird wasn't that old, she is younger than Shaman (her mother is ancient - she isn't). You left a LOT out of Heather. She was Vindicator (and leader of Alpha Flight) after James "died." You missed Sasquatch, Box, Box, Purple Girl, Madison Jeffries, Talisman...
