Matthew 7.25 The rain fell, the torrents raged, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because its foundation was on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not act on them is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain fell, the torrents raged, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was its collapse!
Mark 12.30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself. No other commandment is greater than these.
Matthew 7.12 In everything, then, do to others as you would have them do to you. For this is the essence of the Law and the prophets.
Matthew 5.9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.
Matthew 5.43 You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor’ and ‘hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven.
Daniel 2.20 Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for All wisdom and Power are His.

I am a 72-year-old, not-mechanically-minded man who needed to assemble this portable garage to protect my newly purchased Chevy Metro from the weather (I live in Montana)--and I needed to do it now! Thanks so much for your top notch video showing me how to do this--in fact, I even did it by myself (except when my 72-year-old wife helped me put it on its feet--what a Honey!), after watching you do it by yourself...even in a blustery wind! I appreciated very much your suggested mods--from self-tapping screws to zip ties. I doubt I would have gotten very far trying to assemble the tubes without those screws--it would've been enough to make a preacher want to cuss (which I am, but with your help, I didn't!). But besides your making an entertaining and extremely helpful video. I especially appreciate the fact that you're a sensitive guy who is a good daddy, who loves our country--and who openly loves God and His Word. And for these reasons, I look forward to your next video--even if it's about something I don't plan on building any time soon. God bless you!

Just wanted to say thank you for the self tapping screw input. I was planning to do something to bolt them together but it’s always nice when someone else has already successfully done it and just has the answer you haha. Put my frame together yesterday evening and will have the rest of the tent together tonight 👍🏻👍🏻

I could NOT get my Harbor Freight 10 x 10 shed together. When I tried to put the sides up everything kept falling apart. So, I searched KZread for some help. You are the BEST! I did go buy the self-tapping screws and a nut driver for my drill. Funny side note, when I came home with my screws and nut driver, my hubby man-splained to me “how those screws work, you need a tap”. I said “no, I have self-tap screws” . He said he never heard of such a thing… So, I just said to him, ‘OK, well let me try it my way and well see how it goes.” The screws worked perfectly, and really stabilized my shed. My husband? Well that’s another matter lol. Even tho this video is not about the 10 x 10 Portable Shed the instructions are pretty similar. Some really valuable tips made it really smooth.

I can honestly say this video should be recommended after purchasing the removable garage from HF. I saw your video before purchasing and thought I could get away from the self tapping screws. Nope, had to spend more time on my build because I didn't listen to your advice. After battling with the post I finally gave in. Do yourself a favor and get those screws. After that it was stress free and easy to put together.

If you're not attaching to a floor, Anchor every point not just the corners. I had a shelter logic tear itself apart from winter winds in less than 3months from the shimmying from the winds in the middle of the structure. Also I highly recommend getting small iron pipe slightly wider than the building to slide in back wall pocket along bottom to press against the frame so the back wall doesn't flap and it also make the entire frame more solid

Great video. I have assembled three of these canopies. You will want a piece of 3/4 x 3/4 x 8' wood for the door. It makes rolling up the door so much easier. As the oil evaporates out of the tarp it will shrink. You will then need to loosen the straps to prevent the tarp from ripping. I have been getting about six years out of the cover before it dry rots and rips. The frame will out last several tarps.

Nice video with great ingenuity. I have had mine for 10 years and finally need to replace it. Hope the quality hasn't degraded too much! One thing I learned is not to roll the door up so that it hangs like the HF video. It collects water. Roll it up to the INSIDE and the water just flows off.

For my dad having had one for the last 4 years, he's had a basic one, can't remember where from, but he wishes that he had some sort of support in between the side to side for the tarp as it has sagged some by the sides on the top and collects water every heavy rain storm, but other than that he loves it as a secondary garage!

Thanks for a great/helpful video. Couple of tips/alternate options for others based on my own experience so far: After watching him fight with the frame I knew that I too was going to want a way to keep the pieces together, I thought about using self tappers as well but wanted something less permanent and difficult to work with, so I used Gorilla tape and it's been holding up just fine, even after getting rained on for a week or 2 without the canvas up. If you have particularly rocky soil the included stakes won't go in, I tried drilling down into the ground first with a large drill bit(As goofy as that sounds...) and still couldn't get them in, I wound up buying these off of Amazon, I haven't put my canvas up yet, so the jury is out on them holding, but I'm fairly confident that they will hold as good as the included ones would have, but crucially these stakes are actually going in now, so here are some stakes for those of you that also have some rocks under you: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01BJH4EFY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Well mine's not Even a year yet and I have water coming through already... And that's also with a Home Depot tarp on top for extra support 😱
cheap anchoring hack for these style tents... get some screw in cork screw style dog tie out stakes from amazon for cheap and screw them in on the inside of the tent near the base of those unanchored post and use long ratchet straps up around the head height vertical and horizontal joint and back down to the stake and that thing won't move in the wind.
