    Mine is v8 I think it's 5.9. Does it matter what the engine size is?

    Man you just made me confirm that I’m gonna get one of these. I passed on one years ago and I regretted it every single day since then. Also, 05 had coil springs. 99 to 04 had leaf springs.

    Awesome bro!!! I thought All 2wd excursions had coils in the front and leaf springs in the rear. All 4wd excursions had leaf springs on all corners. Who knows. Lol

    HEY DAN, YOU DID A GREAT JOB WITH THE " FIX". BUT WHAT YOU DID WAS JUST CLEAN UP THE MESS THE PREVIOUS OWNER OR SOMEONE ELSE MADE! AFTER SAYING HOW DANGEROUS CUTTING A HOLE OR HAVING A CUT OUT FROM ON TOP OF THE GAS TANK IT IS? YOU WENT AHEAD AND JUST MADE A NICER ONE! THAT IS NOT REALLY RIGHT! THE RIGHT THING TO DO WOULD HAVE BEEN TO EITHER REPLACE THAT WHOLE SPACE TIRE PIECE OR AT THE LEAST GET SOME NEW SHEET METAL AND WELD IT NEW PIECE MAKING IT SEAMLESS AND FITTING IT LIKE IT CAME OUT OF THE FACTORY. YOUR HOLE DOES LOOK GOOD! : P BUT ITS STILL JUST A BETTER INSULATED AND LOOKING HOLE. ITS NOT SEALED THE WAY IT SHOULD BE. IF YOU DID WANT A HOLE THERE TO ACCESS THE FUEL PUMP, WHICH I AGREE SHOULD HAVE BEEN MADE THERE TO BEGIN WITH OUT OF THE FACTORY!? IT SHOULD BE DONE LIKE IT WOULD BE DONE IN THE FACTORY. COMPLETELY SAFE, SEALED AND OPERABLE WHEN NEEDED. WHAT YOU DID IS NOT EXACTLY THAT. FUMES CAN STILL ENTER YOUR VEHICLE FROM THE GAS TANK. AND LASTLY, WE ALL NEED TO ACCESS A HOLE AT TIMES! : P LOL........

    Great video! Got a big question hopping you might respond. I put a 99 TJ engine into my 93 XJ, and after about a year i noticed a knocking sound, decided to do a inspection of connecting rod bearings and all where okay, noticed timming chain was very loose, soo i decided to order a cloyes timming chain and new sprockets. when i pulled timming cover off i noticed the timming chain guide was broken into 3 peices, and very hard. well, the new timming kit was missing the chain guide but my father inlaw had a spare one, also kinda old and hard. anyways finished the install and the knocking noise was gone! was very happy, and then a month later it started comming back, and now its very bad on first start up but goes away quickly once its warmed up. my question is, can a timming chain guide on these 4.0L engines cause it to sound like its knocking, if its not there?? It more sounds like a clanking noise. or is the cloyes timming chain stretched over the last couple years lol... and without the guide is rattling against my timming cover?

    Hey Dan! Enjoy your videos as usual. Question for the EVAP. My 2000 Cherokee XJ is running a a P1494 code showing LDP but pricy and rather not spend the money to fix and have the same issue. What is the proper way to test the system or to verify that it truly is the LDP that is malfunctioning and needs a replacement?

    Also one of the main reasons the cable damages is grease ,, the other is worn spring or plastic parts

  • @AA-zm4ow
    @AA-zm4ow7 күн бұрын

    If you can hear the motor with no funny noises like lacking or stuck most likely the plastics cable springs are broken or wore out ,, buying a cable kit if available will be the answer ,or buying the parts separate , junk yard or buying the whole kit new , keeping n fixing the spare or sale it,,

    For me it was easier to just drop the driveshaft because my hands aren’t exactly small. It takes a few extra minutes but gives a whole lot more room to work from underneath to get to the CPS and I don’t need a bunch of extensions on a socket.
