WOW! When you can either hear a band or see a band (solo?) and they can make you think or say WOW! That is greatness . Comparing one individual or band is a personal option Greatness is just an abundance of knowledge! Other than that I love this band also saw them at the tower in U.D. they all played each other's instruments .Yes they were talented.

I see shades of the Godley/Creme-directed video for The Police "Wrapped Around Your Finger" here with all the lights arranged the way they are. I'm not entirely familiar with the problems of 10cc, other than that they had them and broke up, but in my honest opinion, this was their best album. Even better than "The Original Soundtrack". Their finest hour collectively. I have the album and love every last minute of it.

@bucky468 First of all, 10cc especially as the original quartet, were brilliant. Great song of a stunning album. Now as for Coldplay, Radiohead and other bands of their ilk, is it really important that they mention their "Prog" influences? Its possible for people to listen to these bands and not be influenced by them. Who would think that Mike Mills and Michael Stipe listened to Prog? Yet you don't hear it in their music.

10CC is an 'art rock' band as is Queen but I'm not so sure that they had much influence on Queen's music. Queen was more operatic with a harder rock sound. They both share that querky British humor and both did those high reverby harmonies but this is music from the modernist era where originality was prized almost as much as artistry. I was a fan of both these bands at the height of their fame but never saw a link between them.
