Went to see Graham and the band last night. Absolutely superb. Small venue and they smashed it. To your point about the story telling... see Neanderthal Man as Exhibit A !!!

I agree, but I wonder what happened in this story. Did the narrator make it out of those encounters fairly in tact? For the "I don't like I love it", was that the narrator's thoughts or was that him talking the others down? True, it seems he physically made it out, as he got to the pool in the end. But then... I wonder what happened at the end of the last verse, if he did, indeed, try that harvest. It's interesting how this song seems to describe the danger of the place, I don't quite understand the choruses.

Just a kid when this song came out, but I never stopped loving it and I’m in my fifties now. Catchy melody, incredible harmonies and sing-a-long vocals with masterful musicianship - it had it all.

The last and likely only time I saw this video was in early 1979. Being a teenager in the late 1970s early 80s was musically diverse and rewarding. 43 years later this song is still amazing. Thank you for posting 10cc.

The year the road melted at Ohope Beach. I remember getting a Hokey Pokey Icream and before we had for back to the car the whole thing was melted. In the shade at the motorcamp it was 41.5 C.

I heard this in my car yesterday morning. Since then it has been stuck in my head and I have been singing or humming it. Later that day, I was in a beer taproom and I sang "I don't like reggae" and the gentleman next to me goes "I love it". He said "Great 10cc tune". I go "You know it!"

This song takes me back to my night clubbing days of the early '80's in Zimbabwe. There was a local band, 'Heritage', that used to play this at a night club in called Odettes. I knew the guys in the band and we'd sit listening to the music till the early hours. Good memories!
That chorus bassline is the bread and butter line of all house music. Legendary.

But one day at school a year or two before this came out,someone wrote "CHELSEA FANS ARE A BUNCH OF PUFFS" in great big letters on one of the paths so the Chelsea supporters there were going round in a gang stopping everyone and asking them how they spelt poof,wrong answer and they got beaten up. Naturally,I said "P O O F".

This is one of the best songs ever made ever!!! I remember I had the 10cc and Godley and Creme "Changing Faces" video cassette tape with "Good Morning Judge" "Englishman in New York" "Dreadlock Holiday" "Wedding Bells" "Feel the Love" "I'm Mandy, Fly Me" "I'm not in Love" "Golden Boy" and more and it was the best thing EVER!!!!! (and I'm a young man btw) 10CC is one of the most amazing musical sounds and styles ever!
The clip is priceless. the song is timeless! We don't Like Cricket, WE LOVE IT!
I love this band. Very talented. Every song tells a story and the music matches the story.

Check out Wham stuff; the bassist (Deon Estus) was [just found out he died last year :( :( :( ] absolutely fantastic, wow he could move around a fretboard. "Bad Boys", "Young guns (go for it!)" and "Club Tropicana" are my all time favorites. :)

Yeah I know, hilarious...seeing the stones, the dull arse English sky and those cliffs...I don’t know how they thought they could convince people it was Jamaica 🤣 The pool scene was probably some resort nearby...slightly more passable. When he’s strutting at the beginning, they did a better job of making it look tropical but again it was probably somewhere down in Dorset . If they’d actually gone to Jamaica or the West Indies, they’d have single-handedly kicked off the MTV explosion...

I love it that they are both good melody and rhythm people and it's all so relaxed and spontaneous and yet perfect and clever.
