The pig trailer is looking so cosy! What a transformation!!
Stunning collaboration by Dave & Rita on fitting out that Pig Trailer. That wall unit with all the mismatched drawers is a work of art. Actually all of it is. Stirling work.
I love that they can say "Landscaping Team" now. Shows how much they have grown in the past few years.
That old flatbed truck at the start of the video is a real beauty. Thats a gem in the rough right there and it even looks like its in decent enough condition

Its also a very good on off-road surfaces, and can pull a lot(such as old fences, trees, ruin rocks, ect.), and its very reliable as well. The only issue I see is that it runs on a lot of diesel/gas wich isnt very enviromentally healthy

You could probably get it to run on biofuel/recycled vegetable oil. Only problem then is when it’s running the English crew will be craving fish ‘n chips.

As a Town and Regional planner, I'm Interested in seeing the more permanent living spaces turn into more of a village feel over time and how it organically links with basecamp and the eventual larger admin spaces, interacting with the infrastructure, land, food production and conservation. Already a fascinating dynamic.
As an old (58) person who lives in the US, but still one who has optimism and wonder, I am interested to see how the camp dynamics evolve this year.

Ya, I don’t think at my age I’d be welcome. 66 but a have a lot of great ideas.
I think the pig trailer interior is the nicest on the land now! Makes up for the exterior a bit haha
Wow the pig trailer looks amazing now! I hope you enjoy your cozy house after years in the van. Might I suggest a (battery powered) smoke and CO detector as a saftey upgrade, as you have the stove there?
I think the bread van and the construction truck would be great additions! The bread van could easily have a lofted bed and a full space underneath for living space or an office!

if it can't travel on the roads transporting it would be more hassle than it's worth. for something you're looking to save on by buying second hand, having to have custom delivery/maybe even needing permits would seem like a non-starter
I am constantly amazed at the recycling hacks. The storage in tge pig tiny house is fantastic.
Oh wow, it looks like the debarking experiment actually prevented the mimosas from sprouting. Nice to see.
Hehe, I love you guys playing rock paper scissors the see who has the ’honor‘ of doing the room tour xD
I really liked seeing the flashbacks to previous videos. Helped get an idea of how much work this has all been and gave some good nostalgia. Great update
Yay Julie is back. My day is made.
i remember you guys being a little gutted we didn't choose the freezer truck last year, glad to see you have the opportunity to build it now!
A very enjoyable update. I like how the trailer got tearned into a home. I hope the isolated trailer saves you alot of work. But most of all it is great to see that the debarking method of the mimosas seems to be a good permanant solution! Great experiment.
Julie did a great job repairing the toilet.
The fridge box looks like it could be an easier modification. You already have solid, insulated, walls and a roof and door. Cut holes for, and install windows, paint it, replace the floor and you are just about done.

Add some external spaces to the pig trailer. A floor deck, outdoor shower, rain water collection for plants, wood hot tub, wood sauna, raised garden beds. Maybe a roof top garden if the structure can support it near the ends as there is more structure - cooling effect, upper deck relaxation area - yoga, meditation. Strategically placed sunshades. A possible greenhouse or nearby plant nursery. Totes for water collection.

I don't know if they need a greenhouse, the temperature is already really hot ?
Thanks for another interesting, entertaining, and fun video. The tiny pig house is looking wonderful...so cozy and comfortable. If you don't mind, I wanted to make one suggestion: I think it could really use an overhang / porch at the entry door. It'll make a huge difference in the rain. Otherwise, you, your door, and your floor will get very wet. I noticed there was no overhang on the previous small builds either. Maybe something to consider for future builds?
im glad the can roof was able to be saved, it's such a neat design! cant wait to see how trailer number 2 turns out this year
Phew! The can roof survived. One of my favorite examples of recycling valuable resources that make up a lot of our waste.
That's so exciting about removing the bark. It worked!
Thanks for the lovely background music, it sounds like a version of a Christian hymn I used to hear. Also after all the hard work to make the colorful house the interior now looks worthy of it, well done.

They did actually, last year when they chose the pig trailer they also saw this one
Very nice to see the final touches on the pig trailer. Really feels like a home now! :)
It's incredible the change that the pig trailer has gone through. Great job guys!
I personally like the bread-transporting trailer, or as I call it, the Bread Box. The high ceiling would allow for a possible second floor if done right, and if it stays one floor, there could be storage up at the top along with a bed attached to the wall.
Nice to see you guys show the result with the house, must be a huge morale boost to those using it for winter, and good to get started early on another for next year!! Must be very useful for the longtimers to reflect and plan during winter. With less social/big project time I hope you get chance to think about the smaller day to day QOL things that are needed. Who gets to live in the next one? The first house was community led, but it would also be cool to have people lead the project for their own place, after all it will be their living space
More progress! Do consider planting shade trees for the outhouses, ours gets pretty hot and ripe at the end of summer and we plan our trips to the poo palace with the sun and shade…
Monday treat! I love how you are showing by example how to use old items and make them so cool!
love to see rita and dave so excited to have their home
Cherau fridge trailers/truck bodies are the gold standard in refrigerated transport. Even though I’m sure you have separated it from the Scania truck by now, that combination was and still is to this day the “bad boy” spec. Cherau and Scania go hand in hand, the french are right up there in the list of world leaders when it comes to fridges (next to Ekeri) and Scania are arguably THE best truck manufacturers worldwide or at least in the EU, Volvo are really good too and are definitely up there almost next to them but Scania has taken the edge in the last 5 years. Back to Cherau, they’re renowned for being extremely well built and quite heavy as a byproduct of their build quality, they’re still made to a very very high standard which really shows how committed they are in a day and age of overconsumption where most (if not almost all) things are made with an expiry date on them.
I'm glad you got the freezer trailer. I'm really looking forward to seeing you transform it in your own unique way. I just love all the quirky touches you include!

The design of the storage with all the different drawers looks so good!
That truck seems like a great find. Seems so sturdy. I would suggest you do a roof terrace on it and actually, if you plan on putting it close ish to the pig trailer and even put more trucks around there in the future, you could give them all a roof terrace and link them all together with little bridges. Love what you did with the pig trailer
Great job on finishing the Pig trailer.. WOW, LOOKS FANTASTIK. Cant wait to see the Beef trailer😁😁👍👍🔨🔨🛠️🛠️🤙🤙🤙

When ya'll debarked the mimosas I'm surprised nobody made baskets from the bark strips. Could have sold them to raise funds.

You would have to test them for bugs and mold and ect to export them, as it would be an organic product. Those are strictly regulated so it could be prohibitively expensive. And the carbon foot print for shipping could go against Project Kamp's objectives.
