Really doubt it. Considering how careful the creators were with the reboot in order to cater to older Voltron fans, I really don't think they would be so progressive as to include the gays. It's a nice thought though

+Nicole Maj at the same time, Legend of Korra was pretty damn progressive in that department (and Dreamworks has an okay history as well with stuff like El Dorado) and there's been a few teases within the show (I cradled you in my arms) and the comics as well (jealousy thy name is Keith.) I don't think it's likely but I wouldn't rule it out altogether.

Is that the actual ethnicity of the character in this version? I noticed that a lot of the characters have darker skin complexions. (Keith even reads Asian to me.) I'm really surprised people weren't butt-hurt over that change, but I also think it's awesome that the creators did it!

Cool facts guys, just a comment. The fact 25 is somewhat inaccurate. Pidge was always a male on the old series in the american version, however, he was a female disguised as a male on the japanese version. So the new series actually follows the original plot twist.

Personally, Shiro seems a lot older. Not just because of how he looks but because of how he acts. It's safe to say that he is older, even by a few years. I still like the idea of him being in the 20-25 year old range. He seems more experienced as well as more able to become a leader. He clearly looks at least 20 or above. Definitely not a teenager. In fact, most seniors are not even teenagers. Most are already adults so technically, they are adults, maybe excluding Pidge who may be 1 or 2 years behind.

Koncel Actually, there's some stuff that contradicts the ages. From the official descriptions of the show/comic/etc (5 teenagers), to a video from a comic con (Shiro being 25, Pidge 14, and Hunk,Kieth,Lance being late teens) and if we remember right, others from VLD stated their opinions on the ages. It's gotten to a point where the hardcore anti-shaladins are harassing the VLD Crew and Voiceactors (Josh Keaton was the current one after his interview with Afterbuzz). So, we'd be wary of any age stuff for now until stuff is actually clear and doesn't contradict eachother. (Which might not be for a long time)

Ali N' Ala From what I've seen, shippers seem to be just as toxic. I'm neutral about this topic, and I've called out multiple "antis" if they are being toxic. But guess what? Shippers can be just as bad. To tell you the truth, I've seen shippers harass antis more. Also getting info from creators isn't some new horrid concept, pretty much every fandom does this

It was when the show first came out they didn’t know anything because only the first season was out..

I loved the voices of Zarkon and Lotor. And really shows they developed Pidge more and that each character can be favorite, like people can identify with one or the other!

Keith-gets beat up a lot. His voice actor- gets beat up on the walking dead. Not much good came out of this career.

Allura and Jasper (from Steven Universe) are both voiced by Kimberly Brooks!

Do you know what I love about this reboot is the fact that it does not try to teach kids lessons about real life that it's an actual story and it's not like hey kids don't do this or don't do that it's just a story

Lance is my favorite character I relate a lot to him and everything he says gives me a good laugh

Thanks for the video! I love that it is an original animation too. That way the people can flesh out the characters in the acting and the animators are talented enough to follow and create the scenes.
