Deathly hallow 2 really made up for 1 . Part 1 is a very drawn out , long , and boring movie in my opinion. I have a hard time sitting through it . Part 2 is incredible !

That's the whole point though. The first half of the final book is long and drawn out and reflects the trios long stressful and seemillgly endless journey without really accomplishing anything, Ron points this out in the argument with harry and then all of a sudden everything is happening very fast. I'm currently reading DH and on chapter 17 and at this point it's Christmas, they've come across bathilda (nagini) and they haven't destroyed the locket, found the sword, know what the hallows symbol is, or really accomplished anything yet. If you look at any 2 part movie that's the structure... the first one will always seem long and slow with the protagonist not really accomplishing much and potentially even losing and right at a big moment the movie will end forcing part 2 to always be aproximately 10% rising action 80% climax and 10 falling action and resolution.
