    I like a 205/50/15 up front and a 195/55/15 or 195/60/15 in the back. I buy new front tires and run scrappers in the back usually so 195/60/15 is common enough in the piles.

    Found a 1996 Volvo 850R WAGON with 110k miles for sale locally for $4500 obo. Body and interior are in good condition, engine is clean, but the owner claims it needs a “battery, thermostat, and all around tuneup” … Does this sound like a good buy? What should I look out for with these cars?

    @eetukorhone

    Жыл бұрын

    @@chris-gh4cd Well they aren't the cheapest cars to work on, but for sure much cheaper than many other cars. If you can do most of the maintenance yourself helps a lot! They are reliable, pretty easy to work on and its quite easy to find parts for them. 110k is low miles for a Volvo so there shouldn't be any big problems yet👍🏼 If you deside to go see it, take a battery with you and see if it starts and runs good and i think its fine!

    How do the truck tyres hold up to heat? I've found some "commercial grade" van tyres in a similar size to what I'm running and I want to give them a go - they should have a nice hard compound from my understanding but I'm unsure how they'll hold up to prolonged heat.

    @@dicksandballsnshit3856 I don't test it myself yet, my car is not ready, but some dudes here have been using it as a cheap option for practice and fun ... some say its grip less with heat but a 205 R16 grip more than a normal 225 R17. It's last 3 to 4 times more than a normal tire, its a little heavier and sound like a truck sliding. kzread.info/dash/bejne/a2Rkr8iunZarcrQ.html
