102 Earthworks: Miguel: Mexico Chapter 3
Музыка
Miguel has traveled to Mexico with his dad and brother for the first time to literally taste dad’s culture. In this clip of Earthworks, the series where musicians go into nature for inspiration, Miguel and his family visit local farmers trying to break the unhealthy cycle of big agriculture through native corn. After the barbecue, Miguel walks away touched by the experience.

Hello Something I have been in search for quite sometime is a connection with somebody that goes beyond vanity. It's very hard to do in this day and age. People can be, somewhat very superficial. On my quest to achieve this I have learnt a lot about human nature. It seems to me that those who are not given traits such as beauty or being wealthy are some of the nicest, kindest and generous people. While the "gorgeous" and well off seem to be the most arrogant and greedy people out there. Of course that's not to say there aren't beautiful kind people out there. I saw your profile and it intrigued me. I wanted to learn more about who you are and what type of path you would like on in life. Can we talk?

My family in Michoacan were maize farmers. One of my uncle still farms it. Had no idea this was going on. And I go to Michoacan all the time.

Jeff Madrigal Maybe your uncle is not part of that organization. You should tell him, this way he can make better money (that corn is sold to gourmet restaurants in Mexico City and some is exported to New York) with his harvest and get better seed. Maybe his neighbors can join in.
Holy f-ck, I love this series!!
Si ya lo amaba por su música, ahora lo admiro mucho más por su compromiso social. I already loved him for his music, but now I admire him so much more for his social involvement.

I miss that kind of food.
That food looked so good and I bet it was. I love corn, I'm corn crazy, Maize loco. I grow so ancient blue, red and white. See the red in my photo, that is a very rare red only a few people in the world have. Thanks for sharing.

Dam. Makes me really open my eyes. Us migrants in the states have it MADE. I thank god and my parents that worked so hard that I never got to witness this much poverty. I actually wanna do something. Starting January for a whole year save and send clothes toys books etc to young kids with hardly anything.
Miguel y familia should pull produce their own 🌽 tortilla's.
that food looks some good
Reminds me of my grandpa 😭😭
I know that I'm willing to pay a little more to get the real corn than the hybrid or GMO corn. Bring it to the markets.
All I can say is "Solo hay que quererte un poquito más, Mi Mexico" kzread.info/dash/bejne/pXqK2LSff926gpM.html
