Thank you for the commentary video. My bra-strap length hair behaves like hers and I am relatively good with finger detangling. My problem is using a brush properly. I've used the tangle teaser, Felicia Weatherwood brush, and the Denman D38. I'm now struggling with the Kazmaleje brush. I could possibly use brushes on someone else's hair to detangle but not on my own hair. I cannot seem to grip my hair and the brush at the proper angles to avoid some breakage, especially on the back of my head and the top.

  • @AfrikanHairGod

Are you taking on too much hair? Maybe you should take smaller sections to allow more ease in detangling. If you finger detangle properly it should really allow you to thoroughly brush thru your hair. If you have Instagram perhaps you could send me a video of you detangling a section so I can better assist you

  • @popcornxxx1312

@@AfrikanHairGod I saw a video of yours where you detangled a small section at a time for a twist & proceeded to twist the hair. That works for me but takes forever. I wanted to be able to do sections the size of the ones in this video. If hair gets somewhat detangled (using the fingers) but not as well as using a brush is that asking for trouble? Thank you for answering and also for being willing to help - much appreciated. I'd be so nervous trying to do a video for you that I'd probably rip my hair out! 😅

Hi , Could you please advise me on a particular situation I am in. My fingers have not been well since 2019, causing me not to be able to do my own hair . About a year ago, I realized I couldn't keep wearing headwraps until my fingers get better..and had to get someone to help me with my hair. I eventually found someone who was willing to unmatt the knots and from there on, do my hair on a regular schedule. The issue I'm having is, I have politely asked her a few times to finger detangle my hair. Each time she gave a reason for not doing so. One time she said my hair wasn't really that tangled. Now...I know when a comb is pulling hard from the roots cause im tender headed. Could you please advise me on how to get her to finger detangle my hair without causing hard feelings?

I went to a hairdresser who i thought cared about natural hair. This man used DAWN DISHWASHING LIQUID on my hair. He is always joking about something, so of course I thought he was joking (tongue -in-cheek) when he said he was going to break out the DAWN on me bc I had so much product build up. Toward the end of the appointment after having him snapping and pulling through my tangles - with no type if detangler whatsoever - he showed me where he LITERALLY used DAWN on my hair. 😳🤯👀💀 I dint know how much you charge or when i can get to you, BUT i have got to get to you bc THIS DAWN and ripping through my hair is unacceptable on every level. Background. August 13 2023. Big chop. Hair approx 1.5 inches long after blow dry. July 28 Hai approx 5 inches long. However, after DAWN and rough detangling, and my lack of proper hydrating & moisturizing prior to that appt, my hair looks like broccoli. Smooth at the roots, coarse and brittle puffs on the ends. Even w a trim. I dont want to try so hard to grow my hsir, and have it groeing, but growing damaged.
