As a Dutchman, I just want to make something clear. We are more than happy to see people try to pronounce our funky words since we too realise our language is just stupid at times. It made me smile seeing you try to pronounce IJsel, among other words. Have a great life to whoever is reading this :)

It is so large, that it has its own internet exchange and a massive datacenter located nearby, to give buyers and sellers the lowest possible latency.

One more note: Our agriculture is so good, we have some of the cheapest groceries in the world. Yep, it's true that we are awkwardly direct....some find it rude, we generally find it very useful/effective. Guess we had a time where we couldn't chit-chat about little stuff but had to get to the essence to save our asses. xD Does help getting stuff done sooner. Unless bureaucracy pops up of course, the scourge of humanity. BTW almost had laughing fits when listening to your pronunciation of Dutch names/words. We have a rough language, if strongly like English a second language. I often joke that our words sound like nasty diseases. Last one, not related to video though.....it took me a while to get used to the 'BTW' as an abbreviation of the English words. We here also/originally know it as the abbreviation for 'belasting toegevoegde waarde' which is our way of say VAT (value added tax). Gotta say though, we're far from perfect here. I like aspects of it but am not trying to praise it. Anyway, i'll shut myself up now. xD

Carrots are orange because of the Netherlands🤭🤭🤭🤭😅😅😅 Back in the 10th century, carrots were originally white, purple, or pale yellow. So how did they get their distinct orange colour? The story goes that when William of Orange (King William III) helped the Dutch win independence from Spain in the 17th century, Dutch farmers honoured the King by turning their carrots orange through clever breeding. The new colour became hugely popular and is still the Netherlands official colour and the colour of the Dutch Royal family. The Dutch celebrate King’s Day by wearing orange and even the national sports teams wear orange.
@DenUitvreter
2 жыл бұрын
Nonsene. William of Orange was Stadtholder, steward to the King of Spain until het led the revolt, a revolt because the King of Spain send the Spanish Inquistition on the Dutch and both protestants and catholics wanted religious tolerance. Stadtholder William III, also appointed but now by the States-General, a legislative body consisting of commoners, was the one who invaded England more than a century later and became king there to save it from the Dark Ages so the Dutch Republic would have a stable religious tolerant ally instead of another absolute rule catholic enemy out for destruction of protestantism and the Dutch Republic like Louis XIV and Spain.
