I think I’d still continue sticking to the 100ml rule just in case the airport I’m travelling back from still has that rule in place. These new 3D scanners surely aren’t going to be applied everywhere across the globe.

Different rules at different airports? That’s not going to cause any problems at all 🤣
They've had this in schiphol since 2017. I snorted when the security guy said they would have it in the uk in the next 6 month ...
Lol June 2024 and that's if all goes well and only for major airports.

it was the 2000s. i think people can guess. every twenty years, we get new terrorists. remember when they were irish or libyan? and anyways, this is about bottles of liquid. not about the terrorist plot. the information about the terrorists is readily available, you don't need to worry.

So we don't have to worry about seeing through quart bags anymore? Hopefully, we can use solid colored bags now.

Liquids need to come out of your bag it doesn’t matter what they are in
do you still have to use a 20x20 clear plastic bag?
Still sticking with solid toiletries because they take up less space and don’t leak.
Just got screwed at Manchester flight transfers today. Two new bottles of perfume, unopened with receipt. Travelled through two airports with no problem but of course Manchester like to do it right. The annoyinf thing? I don't even look mozzie. Honestly, if these thick runts can't differentiate between mozzie and non mozzie they really shouldn't be employed in security.
Will these scanners be implemented in Dublin and Belfast?
why even carry them? if you can buy those basic stuff in almost any country as long as you don't travel to the rainforest 😂
However will the power hungry security at Heathrow bully people now? The most awful experience of international travel in my life. Abusive, rude, condescending, laughing in our faces as they delayed us for an hour and missed our flight home. Absolutely disgusting people.

What difference does it make? So you take smaller bottles? Less weight to carry. Most Americans who have not served in the military have NO IDEA WHAT INVASION OF PRIVACY REALLY IS. WHEN YOU HAVE TO LIVE WITH 50 other human beings for 7.5 weeks, you learn what invasion of privacy really is.

3D scanner have been around for a couple of years now without people not even knowing it. Truth is, X-Rays machines always posed a threat to film depending on the sensitivity. Nowadays nobody really uses film anymore unless you're a professional photographer. And if you are one you certainly know the risk. I believe it's very important to mention that scanners used for checked bags are usually more powerful than the ones used through security.
