That is a massive specimen not only for Georgia but anywhere in the world. The fact that that came from Northern Georgia is mind-boggling. I live in the Georgia gold belt in Cherokee county.i prospect regularly and would love to find anything close to that. That is a once-in-a-lifetime find that most of us will never get to experience.

That's a huge amount of gold from Georgia. I explore the abandoned gold mines in Georgia. Looks like I need to start digging around more in the abandoned mines that I find in the woods.

I just moved out near Amicalola Falls and Dahlonega and didn’t realize how much gold was out here I’m going to start prospecting a lot more.
Metal detecting for gold is illegal in Georgia unless you’re on private land
