13:00 I had a similar experience with a blue chinesium iron with a potentiometer. But I bought genuine Hakko tips to go with it and it works great.

@@Voltermort Haha nice, yeah small world I see you're in the Toronto area. Very cool to see the DIYers strong in the ebike scene. We're in Hamilton. After doing a lot of 3D printing on our end I can see how much thought / effort / design went into your pack, very cool indeed. Looks really good on the bike btw

Oh yeah, so much work. Lots of prototypes. Honestly this project took years. I attempted it years ago but didn't have the stability/ time. Gave it a second attempt now and glad that I got it completed and can move onto something else lol.

Soldering any solder is easy with a good iron. The world is flooded with crap irons...and people that think that they are bad at soldering because of it.

That's one thing I haven't tried is a quality iron.. good solder made a giant difference. I wonder if it would be the same with a better iron
