@@Kio_vidz Wrong, actually they are different species and not all ants fight, often if two colonies of completely different species have nests in a similar location they choose to ignore each other unless threatened or provoked by environmental factors or human or animal disturbance. In My garden there are many ant nests that include black Ants, Red Ants and Orange ants. There is a Orange ants nest in a container planter and under it is a Red ants nest different species. The Orange ants are rarely ever seen in the open and spend most of there time hidden under objects hunting and foraging underneath them. Red ants are 3x the size of the Orange ants and are the most confident of the 3 species activity hunting out in the open air. I watched a Orange ant and a red ant meat at they julted a bit an walked off in different directions. I disturbed to Orange ants nest and they come out swamming and then attacked any red ant in the area.

@@HOLLASOUNDS ok nice, in short symbiosis that should not exist between those 2 species (the orange ants may be explained by that they are too small to pose a threat and the other ants to big to be defeated, plus ants cannot eat eachother), they both will fight for territory, what you're saying is ridiculous unless those 2 red and black ants were not interfering their territories, which happened after u messed there. Only polygenic species that can have more than 1 queen can live so close to each other, and not even that often bc if one finds other weak they will kill the weak colony. Plus maybe not even that orange ants were so small but bc they were rarely on other ants territory, and until you disturbed them they went on angry mode and runed everywhere jumping into the other ants. If these 3 ant species were polygenic it still wouldnt prevent them from fighting if they were close to each other, plus ants while working (finding food etc.) will not be agressive and will most likely ignore other pheromones until they feel in threat or bump into eachother(same like bees, wont fly at u while doing their honey work until u kick their butt) I also hope that u know that ants arent that good visioners (they have vision only storng enough to navigate thanks to the cloudes or other factories, matching up with pheromone trails) and if 1 ant bump into other ant (from different specie) they wont attack eachother if they choose not to. Non symbiotic species will always fight for food and territory. And just bc u saw some ants being on their territory or running through undetected doesnt mean you are better than biologist.

So after watching at least 40 odd video's from AntsCanada I can say that those Maggots got slaughtered down in the nest, the small forraging group of ants we saw on the surface pale in comparison so the sheer volume of workers below ground in the nest and once a nest is all in, its a bloodbath.
