Thanks for that MW, an unexpected Easter treat. Love the old livery on the Wirral buses and the Art Deco clock tower at the ferry terminal, took me back. Nice to see the oldest tram and the buses on Pacific Rd. I love those guys down the transport museum. Only went there once with the kids when they were small, about 15 years ago and they still talk about it, we were the only people there and after closing time, then they took us back to the ferry on the tram. The most freindly interesting, engaging people I've ever met. Brilliant video of a lovely day out, you did well to get that out so quick, you must be knackered. Cheers drive.

It's was a Great day. The transport museum guys are a great bunch always very welcoming. This should have been run 3 years ago, obviously with lockdowns it had to be postponed. So in reality it was 103 years of Wallasey corporation transport

My German family and I loved travelling on these beautiful buses, let's hope they repeat it next year! It's a shame Wirral doesn't care about its heritage and exposes the old rail tracks to allow the trams to run up and down New Brighton Promenade, instead the corporations want their money but don't want to invest. The steam trains in Harz Germany run most of the year through snow and ice, mainly full of tourists. See you next year!

I think this was just a one off event unfortunately but it was a good day. I doubt that they would ever bring the trams back to new Brighton. The did try open top buses a few years ago but they didn't pay their way. At least we have the trams at Birkenhead, perhaps one day their line might be extended

@@Merseywail It is fantastic how passionate enthusiasts are when talking about these beautiful forms of transport, this should be taken on board and presented to the lazy pathetic Wirral council, nevermind filling the hotels with migrants, get those tracks extended!

It's a while since I have travelled on a Wallasey Bus, it's also a long time since I travelled on the Harz Railway, 1988 when it was owned by DR, I had a very interesting chat with a DR employee at Eisfelder Talmühle

They certainly do. They knew how to do liverys back in the day. They showed civic pride in their bus fleets

I believe the bus at start is part of the collection at the Wirral transport museum, not sure of the ownership though

@@Merseywail Cedric may have sold it when he moved out of the area, he was really keen on buses, I only drove them. Needless to say it is nice to see people putting such hard work and effort into keeping these great pieces of history on the road.
