The perfect leather, vintage yet modernly accessible shoe? This is my hope for this gorgeous historical recreation pair that will grace my feet for the foreseeable future.
I did not wonder "Where can I find a stylish shoe from the early 20th century?" when it came to the thought process that lead to this video. No, instead I was happily watching sewing videos by the incredible Bernadette Banner when I came across her collaboration video with American Duchess for her own style shoe, the Bernadette. Her shoe however, is a level of elegance I cannot even begin to dream to attain, but the Londoner (which she mentioned in that same video) seemed to be the most multi-use gorgeous shoe I could possibly imagine. As I mention in the video, I do not own any nice shoes. I wanted to own a pair of nice shoes.
It took months (year?) for me to finally decide to make the purchase, but now, finally, I own my own!
Vintage cosplayers (is that a thing?) tremble at my fantastic French heel, leather lining and soles, broguing and unique ombre patina finish. Yes, I took this description from their website, no, I do not know for certain what broguing is. I do love how they look though! And paired with my new linen dress I feel like I almost achieved a nice cottage-core look? Anyway, it's nice to feel pretty.

My first pair of AD shoes were also tan 7.5 Londoners so this was like reliving that experience. Hope you're still enjoying yours!

Oh I love that!! Honestly I don't own enough clothes that go with them haha, so I only break them out for special occasions, but I do still adore them!
I just bought my first pair: green Parkers. I have wider feet that sometimes prevents me from wearing shoes I like, but I am praying they work. If they do I will definitely be getting a pair of Londoners too!

Oh my gosh! Would you do another video if you did? Would love more info about them. Especially sizing lol…I always have trouble with shoe sizing 😂

I would definitely do another video! Such an exciting thing haha, gotta share that excitement! The sizing is tricky, I used a shoe stretcher to get the pair I got to fit me even better, but I think next time I'll get an 8 instead of 7.5. I was right on the edge with my measurements and while it felt perfect when I first tried them on, they were a *little* tight while wearing them around. The stretching worked well but took a bunch of rounds to really get right.

Oh boy, I hope you got some sole protectors. The first time I wore my londoners the leather soles started wearing out 😢

I haven't yet! They're a little scuffed up, but I've really only worn them indoors when I've worn them, so the soles aren't too damaged yet. Honestly, I should do that though
