Thanks for the review. I know Pembroke area. My dad cut a lot of lumber with his large modular sawmill in that area in the 80s. I e worked on a few bridges in that area as well. Nice machine.

Thanks for the update. My deluxe model is having issues not allowing the saw to come back to its resting stop enough to hit the hydraulic valve. I had to keep adjusting the hex bolt out to engage it. I knew something was flexing as you should not have to keep adjusting a stop. Thanks for the info.

I have finally figured out some of those problems myself just this week after a major break down that video should be out shortly

I drove out to Vallee Sawmill equipment two weeks ago from bc. Bought a 27t deluxe with a live log deck and a red runner 36” sawmill. Haven’t been able to get either out to the wood yet but I’m looking forward to it. It was nice to see your other video before I bought my processor.

How does the red runner 36" mill look to you quality wise? Im looking at them and am having a hard time finding info on them outside the website and its a 1000km round trip to the closest dealer. Also looking for blades for it since it seems to be an odd size? Thanks for your time

@@JB-to8vy it’s still in the crate 🤦‍♂️ we farm and it’s lambing season, pig litters, everything wants to try to kill itself season. I’ll hopefully get it out soon. Honestly I bought it as I was getting the processor too. Both machines together made sense at the time. Vallee does sell a sharpener for those blades. As well as blades. They had easily 20 mills in stock at the main dealer. It was 4500 kms for me each way.

@@aux4coxwain thank you very much for the reply! I get it for sure I am building a homestead on 40 acres of paradise in North western Ontario and we keep getting more and more snow right when I need to be build a chicken coup for chickens coming at the end of the month lol I just noticed they look like a really good deal and a little bigger than an HM130max so figured I'd ask :) Wouldn't mind making the drive for the purchase but not just to browse. Thanks again for your reply I really appreciate it!

@@JB-to8vy also it’s the ability to cut bigger over the blade. The 130 is 7” max. So posts need to be centre cut. I can cut 8x8 or larger out of one log.

@@aux4coxwain that's is sweet! 8x8 are definitely handy for timber framing and hard to find conventionally. Sounds like it will be a great purchase! I'm eyeing those processors as well awesome investment but will probably have to settle for a just a log splitter for a while. Good thing Im young lol

Rex is a good boy. Just wants his human daddy's attention. I'd get the Deluxe version. I'd have to have a log lift at minimum, preferably a live deck. Apparently the same people that make the Range-Road processor makes this one and a few others. Nice engine feature for the winter/summer mode. Haven't seen that on any other machine out there. Am also considering the Lil Beaver 14 processor available through Multitek. Good to know about the longer chain. Me, I would've gotten out my $100 welder and mended it myself. Is good to hear the good and the bad from people like you on the entry-level class of equipment.

@@nippersinkriders5293, I'm sticking to chainsaws and log splitters. To run a firewood processor I'd have to get a tractor and that together is way more expensive than I care to spend at the moment.

Hey Dave. Beautiful Nov 22 day today and I was out using my standard and the same thing with the ram on the saw. Mine bent all to hell and I’m very disappointed. The cover needs to be beefed up a ton to withstand the constant pressure. Did the little braces in the corners hold up? Does it need more and thicker bracing? I’m thinking throughout that cover. I’ve called and left a message with Darrell. I’m hoping he will get back to me really soon. I’m wanting to take full advantage of this weather.

Sorry for not responding quicker, yes so far those braces have. But I can still see flexing of the cover during operation.

Darrell didn’t help. I went right to Pascal in PQ. They sent me a new hood and some corner bracing and another brace for the back ram. The hood is a thicker gage steel as well. I have the hood all welded back up and now I’m waiting to get the lot plowed out to see what happens. Let’s hope this is a good fix.

Where did you find out how to adjust the blade back. Mine is the Deluxe but the chain has stopped and the splitter also. No close dealers. I’m stuck with anew machine that does not work.

Hey Paul sorry I was away for a while. All the adjustments I basically figured out my self. But I would reach out to your distributor for their help. Adjusting the chain tension is pretty straightforward. Losses the two bolts at the base of the saw bar and then using an Allen key just above those two bolts to tighten chain and then retighten those two bolts.

Hey I just bought the deluxe. You said in one of your videos that the conveyer was a pain. We can't get ours to run straight, any thoughts

Thanks for watching Amanda, and congrats on your purchase. It’s extremely finicky, the bottom is only adjustable on the side which makes it even more difficult. So try to centre the belt by adjusting the tension on the bottom. Then as the machine runs the belt can tend to “run”, keep an eye on movement at the bottom of the conveyer, and try to adjust it at the top then. Make adjustments slowly as it can take several revolutions to see any change. I also find tighter tension (not taunt) is better than loose. I find many things have an effect on belt alignment, like raising and lowering the angle of the belt, outside temperature changes, how level the area is.

Same with my conveyor piece a chunk. To keep it running straight I have to run it slow. Not good for productivity. Half a cord a day. WOW
