((I got two months free and honestly... it isn’t anything too special. I appreciate the content creators on the platform - they are the bright spot of the app but honestly, for the amount of money you spend and the fact they advertise that it is a substitute for actual art education that you can have acquiring a Degree or even locally - it ain’t it, chief. Again, great content creators but a lot of they stuff on there is good for those who already have pretty good understanding of the fundamentals, although reminders are nice. The app itself is really frustrating since it cuts out all the time which isn’t helpful and for something you spend so much money on... ugh. Anyways, that is my verdict - but I am still trying it out and my opinion might change. DEFINITELY NOT REMOTELY AS HELPFUL AS A REAL LIFE CLASS.))

Using the background color as the birch texture actually made this really soft illusion of being see through, and I think that’s so fun.
The cheap ones and they look (and apparently smell) like some super old uni poscas. I had a pack that was from I believe the 2000’s and they look so similar just without the same label

They are probably oil based paint pens. They're usually a little cheaper and would explain the smell and lack of activation.
@robinthibodeau6407

Oil based paint or 'alkylyde" paint. You need a solvent like varsol to clean your brush
I didn't even know Posca Pens were water soluble. And I never thought of using a painbrush with them.
What might be a good experiment for these pens is, from what you said, you could use paint thinner or nail polish remover as water to reactivate the paint, it should work 🤷♀️🤷♂️
That dinosaur in a forest one is absolutely gorgeous. I really love it. ❤️
Those are solvent based paint markers. FYI: nail polish remover is acetone. If the paint pens are like spray paint, cleanup should work with paint thinner or turpentine.

Omg Kasey!! Today I was just thinking about this, because i have "Pilot Pintor" paint markers, and TODAY i was thinking are they as good as Poscas! Thank you so much, even though they are not in this video but still thank you!
Hey Kasey! I found a pen for watercolor that I really recommend if you've never tried it. It's the Kuretake disposal pocket brush pen. Love your art!

These illustrations look SO amazing
Yesssss I’ve been missing your videos bc I just got back from my grandpas and now I’m hellllaaa excited 😆
The pens look exactly like Edding markers and those suck for anything that isnt writing.. and the smell..
Kasey Golden: Now, you guys now I know that I’m gonna be doing art in this video, please don’t report me to the Japanese police. Me: *Proceeds to tell the Japanese police*
Oh my gosh, i really love your painting material
I think theese are def one of your best illustrations so far this 2020!!
Omg im so earlyyy!! I love your style soooo much 💙
Kasey, I’m just wondering if you’ve ever considered using fountain pens for line work? I think your art style would look really great with the clean lines of something like a Platinum or Sailor fine nib. I think it’d be an interesting video if you tried out fountain pens for the first time! (Side note: if you want me to recommend a pen to use for your first time, I can give you my Discord handle for some pen recommendations!)
All theses pieces are adorable! Good job!
I absolutely love your art style! Your videos always get me so inspired and get my creative juices flowing! Your vids always make my day lol

I would love to see a red, black and white art with posca pens. More for a those Japanese arts you see every now and then.
Staying up all night was worth it being surprised with this 🤩🤩
love the dino in the birch trees one
Kasey- if those Japanese paint markers are anything like deco paint markers, try a few coats for the white on top of another color :) it works to build it up!! Found ur channel recently and LOVE yr content. Hope this helps!
Please tell me someone else noticed the "swallowing of the cap may lead to suffocation" MAY
I bought one of these recently figured out they dont blen like acrylic paint markers cause they are oiled base. Might be able to blend them with some oil paint mediums.
General Pencil Masters Brush Cleaner & Preserver will hopefully help you restore your paintbrush. I have used it in my art classroom and I have been able to salvage 80% of my brushes (except ones caked with years old acrylic) if the bristles are accessible this stuff restores it.
The space drawing reminds me of Kurzgesagt

I wonder if these markers are an oil based paint i know once from walmart I bought an oil based paint marker with all the water based paint markers and ruined my hoodie bc of it. I do love how these three pieces turned out! Thank you for sharing!
Sorry if you already know but it says on the package that they are oil based! If you're looking at pens etc when shopping 油性 means oil based :)
I bought £50 worth of posca pens a couple of days ago because of watching your videos and I’ve been drawing so much since, I have the 'favourites' set and the pastel set and I’m literally in love. If you can get some posca pens please do!!
Oh wow, I love all of those illustrations! So pretty! And F Brush :(
I rly like the texture in the space one :o are you going to put prints of these up for sale? I'd really like the birch tree one
this is so gorgeous! thankyou for sharing :}
love all your vlogs, was wondering if you could do a review on Molotow paint markers? =)
I love your drawing ideas
I Love this its so cute 🥺 Can i ask why you usually break the frame for ur illustrations? I love the effect it has but i was just wondering if theres a specific reason?
I wonder if they used the disclaimer because they are NOT archival and oil based. Arteza used to have paint markers that were oil based too. When I went back for more they had been replaced with the acrylic paint markers! Mineral Spirits is how I cleaned up after the paint markers I used. I was painting on rocks, just for your information. I like the acrylic paints more, keep going Kasey, you are on a roll! I thought your birch trees looked wonderful!
