Nearing 19-million monetized views, the creator has been handsomely rewarded. Enough to buy brand new economy car. Well deserved though. I'm an old fart who couldn't dance a lick if my life depended on it, and have only seen maybe 20% of the movies listed, and I found it entertaining. Quite a work of art in its own right.

As a video editor, I can't imagine how much time it must have taken to locate digital clips of all of these films, determine which clips to use, synch their speed with the perfect segment of the song, and merge them all together. It's a truly stunning technical (and entertaining) accomplishment. Whether you love film, dance, music, or video technology, the resulting video is not to be missed. And to the creator: I salute you.

+Mick Kollins then maybe you can elaborate what you are talking about, it looks sloppy, the speed is NOT synced/stretched, its clearly visible, hence the fast cuts. its only aproximated, only the first beat is synced then when it gets too off, it cuts to another scene. cleary theres no time stretch in this vid. if it was stretched properly to the beat it would contain much longer takes.

+Parole de chat Oui et ce que j'aime bien c'est qu'il y a de toute nationalités dans ce clip. Pas mal de francais et bien trouvé en plus. Si ca avait été fait par un américain (J'aime bcp les USA pourtant) ou un anglais il y aurait eu 98% de films anglo-saxon dedant. Là il y a tout et c'est pertinent dans les choix de dances.

I can NOT believe I haven't seen this before. SO awesome to see so many movie dances I haven't already seen in 1,000 other "mash-up" videos! Also, different dance scenes from movies in other videos instead of the same ones over and over. The dancing palace guards from "Aladdin" made me literally laugh out loud. Wow - nicely done - I'm not even a fan of the song, but with the wide variety of dance scenes it works quite well! Never imagined I'd see Napoleon Dynamite, Charlie Chaplin, and dancing animated mice in the same video.

Danse, the universal language

Even harder to do if you didn't live through most of it to know which ones needed to be in. This was like a time machine of sorts. Like watching each scene from every movie come together for a new song and new moment. I quite enjoyed this as it was done with exceptionalism in mind when creating, thank you for making.
