In that videoclip they actually immitate lots of different famous clips of the time. For example Peter Gabriel and robert palmer. The song title "alles nur geklaut" means 'everything is stolen" which is why the video "steals" from other famous videos.

A window in to a different world. Germany exports lots of stuff, but music isn't one of them. Only a handful of these made their way to Canada. The only one that stayed in German was Rock Me Amadeus. The first time I went to Germany was in 1995. Mief! and Schwein Sein were everywhere.

A lot of that has to do with hate very unfortunate many parts of the world had to miss such good music

Other than 99 Luftballons that peaked at #1 in Germany in 1983, I wonder how many German hits peaked at #1 in Germany in the Official German Charts in the '80s and '90s.

I recognized only seven songs from this video.

Great collection and a wonderful experience. Always great to hear music one has never heard before. I remember listening to ECHT's song "2010" and just loving it. Oli P has a beautiful voice. Thank you for creating a very cool compilation.

Germany really had excellent singers during the 80s. Joachim Witt's Goldener Reiter is my favorite german song, but I also like Herz an Herz by Paso Doble and the songs by Falco, Nena, Herbert Grönemeyer and Kraftwerk. The 90s have songs I don't like as much. Not a big fan of edm or rap.

Ich msg recht viele dieser Titel. Und in diversen Fällen könnte ich nicht mal ein zweites Lied des Künstlers nennen. 😅

The video only features songs that were sung in German.

Well, it sounds like they're singing in Spanish but actually it's German. Every types of German songs in the 80's and 90's are getting constantly annoyed for some reason.
