Me and my cousins were swimming in a at our cottage and my German shepherd wouldn't let us go any deeper than our waists, he pushed us back every time. He was a great friend.

They are amazing, mine saved me from an intruder, saved my five months old from falling off the bed. He literally jumped on top of her legs as she dangled off the side of the bed while my husband had ran to the restroom for a sec. It happened so fast, Rocco our pitbull started going crazy barking and howling almost like crying for help. I was not home at the time so when my husband called me and said "you're not going to believe what our boy just did babe". Then told me bc I had actually left to run to the fresh market for groceries. So he told me change of plans for dinner get some steaks and get him the biggest they have

People were outraged and wondered why they couldn't have hit it with a tranquilizer gun instead. Great question. Tragic. I believe the boy recovered.

I'm the owner of a hero dog, saved me 2 times in 2yrs. 1st time i was placier mining and a bear jumped in the hole and attacked me. She tore into it until i could get my 45 out of my pack and end the situation. The 2nd time i went fishing, parked the 4wheeler, and was walking to the creek. My lung collapsed and i went down. I tried to make it back to the 4wheeler and couldnt. I got hold of her collar and helped what i could and she drug me back. I tried to get on but couldnt breathe. As i was getting ready to passout and or die she kept pecking me in the face. Sounds strange but that is what she did. I finally made it on and made it to help and they called an ambulance. If she hadnt helped i would of been dead out there. Everyone says i spoil her and damn rights i do !

I got a dog to train for my PTSD but haven’t gotten him trained. He’s kind of a natural at it. If I have an episode he barks at me and gently bites my hands. So I know that’s not how it usually goes but it works for us.
