100,000 Mile Ford Raptor Review

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

I bought my 2014 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor 3 years ago with just under 57,000 miles. The other day it crossed the 100,000 mile mark and so I figured I'd let y'all know how my ownership experience has been. It's been used & abused in hot & cold. Rain, sleet & snow, and it hasn't skipped a beat. Looking forward to modifying it throughout the next 100k miles!

I keep finding myself coming back to this video after I put more and more miles on mine. You’re so spot on. I just got to the point where I put my dogs in it basically every time I leave the house. Your love for the this truck grows the more you use it as it’s intended.

It was your truck that made me turn in my 17’ Raptor for a 14’. It now has 122,000 total miles and not a single characteristic besides the odometer reading would make my friends/family believe it has so many. Truly a great truck with absolutely no issues, can’t say the same for the second generation however.

I owned a 2014 Raptor fully optioned, I bought it at 8,000 miles to 156,000 miles and Loved Every Minute of ownership. I own a home building commons and spend a lot of time at idle. The only major repair was the A/C Condenser which was a dash out $1,500 expense. With all of my idle time that air-conditioning unit probably had 250,000 miles on it no joke I spent hours a day at idle. I had the Corsa sport exhaust there was zero drone and sounded great. I could not speak to the Corsa extreme which is the same exhaust but the extreme deletes the resonator I’m sure it has no drone either. I traded it in on a 2020 raptor in lead-foot gray and fully optioned which oddly enough had 8000 miles on it also today as it sits I’m at 35,000 miles. The new truck (other than the sound) it’s really better in every way. It’s faster it’s lightweight and feels more like a sports car. After a year of ownership I am considering trading it in on the 2022 mostly because of the full self driving “blue cruise” option. I like the look of my 2020 over the 2022 but….

I watched your first 1 year video for your raptor and it helped me decide that I wanted one, I bought a gen1 13 raptor with 39k miles on it and had it for a year now. Could not be happier with it! It's the truck that can do all. Only problems I have had with it is one that you brought up in the vid with the stearing wheel volume button changing the songs, it gets pretty annoying lol and the other is the front 3 lights in the grill started to go out but they were an easy fix. Glad your truck is still going strong man and keep up the great vids.

I just purchased a loaded 2011 Raptor with 175,000 miles and doesn’t burn oil and feels super strong with just a few mods MSD coils and wires, Banks CAI and monster exhaust with a SCT tuner with a custom tune and couldn’t be happier. I also have a Mishimoto radiator and trans cooler with their hose and will be using their Liquid Chill for the coolant liquid going in next week. I have had a lot of muscle cars and even a turbo Hemi truck, but this is by far my favorite vehicle I e owned!!! Great video Sir!!!

I bought my 2013 raptor last year. It's a 2013 roush raptor, serialized dealer option. Supercharge one of yours, I'd say the one you beat. It's so amazing. 590 hp and 590 trq is fun. But it is also very mild mannered driving it and not getting into the throttle. The supercharger really won't effect gas mileage for daily driving. Love your mustang and I have one too, but mine is a bit older...67. Keep posting great vids!

What's funny is that I also see mine as a forever vehicle and a staple position in the garage. I just did fluids, plugs, and a few other things as part of the services around 100k. The reason you don't get a charge is the max current that is coming out of the USB port is most likely 500mA maybe even 1A. Most phones and tablets now need atleast 2.4A to charge. So the problem is not enough power is supplied from the USB port.

12:10 is super relatable for me. I used to have a first gen GT500 that I was super anal about keeping perfect and maintaining it constantly. I bought a Titan a couple years ago and my wife ended up bumping it into an ATM when she was driving it one day. She was so stressed to tell me and she felt so bad but I just instantly laughed it off. It has a huge steel bumper on it for a reason and it’s meant to be beat up and pushed around. I love having a vehicle that I can treat like a tool and not feel bad about it.

@@paulkersey8626 I would answer this way, The truck is in use in my business, as such is included in general cost and I don't really care about economy as customer pays for the gas indirectly and the gas is deductible. All I can say with modest driving on the highway at 75mph per hour long distance I got pretty good results of 3.34 gallons per 100, at 95mph consumption goes up to around 4.40 and above that I don't even checked hahahahahah, and situation changes when hauling the trailer, it goes up but the truck drives great even with load of 4-5 thousand pounds.

Bro my 14 Raptor does the same thing your steering wheel control does with my radio. Drives me crazy but I still love the truck. Also a few years ago my rear window exploded when I was in the Starbucks drive through. Dude I thought someone shot at me I guess this is a problem with the rear window defrost they get too hot.

I've built the habit of just using the volume knob haha. And about the defrost, I've actually heard about this and mentioned it in this video but ultimately decided to delete it from this video because it's not something I've personally experienced before. But does appear to be common. Enough to where people decide to just disable it altogether.

Does the 11 raptor have an open diff in the front? Could you order the LSD front end on the 2011.

In future don’t record driving through any creeks or streams, streetspeed717 had $50,000 fine from EPA doing that for just 10 feet

Looking at a 2013 right now that’s got 130 K miles on it asking 35K. Is that good??

Good video. I just picked up a 13 terrain while in chip purgatory on my 21 raptor order. Tempted to jettison the 21 and juice up the 13. It’s a fun unit

Are you going to ever rebuild the fox shocks or wait to upgrade the suspension? At 100k on mine and I feel it's time.

Feels fine for now, ideally I would just like to get a major upgrade at some point so I may hold off rebuilding

    Would you recommend a 2012 ford raptor with 108,000 ? Or should I look into a 13-14 ?

Would a 2012 SVT raptor supercrew with 107k miles for $24,300 be a bad investment? Always wanted one and looking for an older truck, just curious if thats a stupid purchase

Would y’all recommend still purchasing a 14 raptor that has around 150-160k for just shy of $30k (pre-haggling)?

I have read you are supposed to rebuild the shocks every 50 thousand miles. Is this fair to say?
