Even if Wynton Bernard never plays another game in the MLB, he'll be able to say he got a hit, stole a base, and scored a run in a major league game, and nobody can take that away from him.

He called him out, but it almost looked like he started to try and pull up at the last second while making the call. On some level to be making really close calls you have to be able to make the call without second-guessing yourself. I think that he knew about halfway through his stupid fist pump, but it is like an umpire thing that you don’t let anybody second-guess you including you

Something not talked about but definitely worth mentioning: Rockies fans are amazing. Despite the constant dook product the organization puts out, the fans still show up in droves and cheer their heads off for this guy. And I love every second of it. Honestly though, the fans deserve better. Hopefully they get it soon.

I think it's a bit of both the Rockies do whatever they can to make themselves watchable and try not to be as bad of a Baseball team compared to some others when it comes to the Fanbase and such some people get very upset when it comes to the team losing their star player and don't understand the reality of Baseball but all in all they will be true fans at heart btw I was at the game on Saturday and despite them only getting 3 hits and losing 6-0 there were more people at the game than expected the game was going on the same time the Broncos Preseason game was going on as well

Lol, every single person in the stadium, dugouts to nose bleeds could tell he was safe, and the major league umpires whiff the call. Really sort of incredible

Never ceases to amaze me how these so called professional umpires blow calls like that. Look at the bag listen for the ball. Foot hits bag before the ball hits glove SAFE

The only other major sport that has a reciprocal agreement, is hockey, which this happens on a very rare occasion. Most teams would rather call up a younger player, and give them the chance. Either that team is really depleted at that position, or the player is having a career year in the minors if he's being called up after 10 years.

@@tinyb69 for Hockey I almost want to say it's the reverse, youll see a 10 year pro head down there and finish his career. But yeah, hockey has those moments as well, a lot rarer mind you - I would have to think of that that 3rd string goalie coming out of the stands a few years ago as a compariable feel good story.
