    Well that’s probably it. He was able to do that back in the day (90’s-2000’s) He aged quite a bit and while he still does stunts, his body can’t move quite as well as his younger years (Wrestlemania 39 as a *great* example)

    If you watch after he hits the post he had a nasty gash on the top of his head and starts bleeding heavily from it, so he certainly hit it with more than enough force to be concussed from it. Also Taker botches a piledriver in this match and drives Goldberg's head into the mat which was even worse than the jackhammer landing. Everything that could go wrong pretty much did. They're both lucky they got out of that one without any serious lasting damage.

    A lifetime ago, Tony Schiavone was in my wedding. We were at a restaurant the night before, and I asked him about the Neidhart/Jericho spot. Sadly, he had no further insight into what happened, but was just as surprised as I was to see it. That’s all. Not a particularly exciting story, but I had to share because I NEVER see this spot get brought up.
