I owned 'In Your House: Ground Zero' on VHS. That Putski injury was no joke. The dude's knee had been shifted up into his thigh. It was grim.

@robertclark2253 I think you could see a genuine look of concern in Brian Christopher's face after the injury, as he tried to stay in heel character.

@@Ripken721 Looking back when Brian left the ring , presumably to get Scott back in , the ref said no and stood over Scott to protect him . That's when Brian said "What ?" looked at the injury and thought oh hell no for a few seconds before getting straight back into character .
Putski "sold a knee injury" he HAD a knee injury. His kneecap was clearly in the wrong place after catching Christopher as you can see on the close ups

I disagree about Sid vs. Taker at Mania 13 it was a big man match from the get go and I enjoyed watching it.
Not to be a dick, but Mero actually hit a 450 Splash, not a Shooting Star. Just an FYI.
Pretty sure that Putski 'injury' was the real thing 😖
The Harris Twins making wrestling worse basically since they were born… Seriously they were never good and worked everywhere forever.
Can’t wait for the 10 worst wwe matches of 1985-1996
Putski actually did get injured in that match with Christopher. He messed up his knee trying to catch Christopher’s dive.

I feel like you're definitely missing some Godwinns matches. The Mero match is good actually. Also, Putski was legit injured here. It is a bad match for that reason, but it wasn't planned.
@kyleolson8977

Putski match also wasn't that bad considering the end, and I'm sure there are enough other bad finishes to OK matches in 1997. But it's not like they're actually researching any of this well if they end up with a random Cassidy/Mero match on the list.
@The1NickSkyline

Yeah, I remember something about Vince releasing Putski after that because he was "injury-prone" or something like that.
4:24 Brian Christopher was using the front Russian legsweep in both WWF/WWE and USWA long before The Miz and his Skull Crushing Finale this was proof positive . Another thing the knee injury was the only thing that spoiled this match .
Can I just say that the WM13 logo really really looks like the kinda graphic you get when a business owner asks their teenage kid to make something in Photoshop?

Ouch!
putting a match on here because a wrestler got injured is wild. Triple H vs pre-road dogg Jesse James could have easily taken that spot
The Side rumour is a conflation. It did happen but it was at a house show from that era.
I often wondered why the Gang Wars were so hated, to the point of retroactively ruining NOD multi-man matches from before the split according to some. Then I realized that it was a heel vs heel feud between factions led by the two least interesting members of the Nation.
The sultan did it for the rock.
1995 is almost upon us 😄
Man i remember watching a vhs of the Putski match and that dude got F'd up bad. His knee cap might as well have been right dead center of his thigh. Seriously yall need to find that vhs cause that match wouldn't be on this list
@robertclark2253

I actually recorded that entire ppv onto VHS unfortunately I don't know how to upload VHS to KZread but if I did it would probably be taken down , privatised or at least got an age restriction .
There were a lot worse matches than that Mero/Snow match
That Leif Cassidy vs Marc Mero match is actually the first WWF match I ever seen. Had that ppv on tape so I was introduced to everyone that day
The HHH vs Slaughter match was so bad I actually kinda liked it low-key. Also Tag team match at ground zero for the belts was pretty bad too honestly. I think it should have made the list.
Vince is the worst thing in WWE
In this house we don't slander e-feds
The Putski injury was legit.
I didn’t mind the Slaughter match, definitely not a great one.
Goldust vs Crush at King of the Ring was pretty dreadful, too. It should take the place of the Putski - Christopher bout imo.
I get a laugh out of people saying wrestlers in their late 40s are too old, yet AJ Styles is 46 and you hear no one saying he's too old and needs to retire.
Putski was REALLY injured 🦴 WTF were you smokin’ Paccitti ?

#4 was the first match coming to mind when I saw the title of this video. This was sooo embarrassing, with an entire Survivor Series team jobbing to a sidewalk slam! 🙄
97 was a damn good year for wrestling
I really don't know why people crap on the undertaker sid match as it was a good solid giant versus giant match as you were going to get during that time. And Scott putski really did get injured as you saw his kneecap was out of place.
Honestly I would have put Owen vs Austin from Summerslam 1997 on here… They were having an amazing match before the piledriver botch, and that godawful roll up afterwards… Not to mention what it did to Austin’s longevity. But I guess I’m nitpicking?

You know Putski actually blew his knee out right? He didn’t even have another match from September of 1997 until April of 1998. It effectively ended his career
Interesting list.
Thank For The Top 10 Video 🙊🤯😃😍👍🥰💐🌟🥇🏆
Tiger Ali sucked. I remember he once had a 50 second match with Billy Gunn on the Heat before St Valentines Day Massacre and still screwed up!
Taker vs Sid was an okay match. It was very by the numbers action wise, but it was very much fitting of the feud in general- Taker and Sid had no storyline grudge like the preceding Taker vs Diesel or following Taker vs Kane feuds. Sid was merely a dragon Taker had to slay to get the belt. Sid knew it, Taker knew it, and the audience knew it. There, to me, is nothing wrong with Sid vs Taker, it's just that it lacked passion, much like Taker's entire 1997 title reign in general.
I am ashamed to say that I enjoyed the DX shenanigans when I was younger. Being that I have grown up and know a bit more about HHH and Michael's backstage antics, I can't stand any of it nowadays.
@hotpocketsrock7610

That's because the older you get, the more you realize they weren't playing characters. That's actually who they were backstage. Look, Shawn Michaels is one of my all time favorites, but he was an ass to work with even after returning in 2002.
Might as well have called this 10 Worst WWF/WWE Pay Per View matches of 1997 because that's mostly what it was .
Can’t wait for these to go all the way back to worst matches of 1968
I really enjoyed the Boot camp match, I don't think it belongs here at all.
I remember scott pukski. He brought nothing as a 2nd generation wrestler as he had about as much charisma as a rock.
9:26 SID SHIT HIMSELF
Except Putski DID have a knee injury because of that match.
I liked 96 WWF more than 97. 95 was also fun in a train wreck way.
Oh no...Putski's knee was definitely not selling. He was legit injured, and it was ugly.
so.... puts person getting a injured and yet left off like 80% of the matches from the SHIET ppv of DX in your house 97!!!
Basically ground zero was the worst show of all time. 97 was a tough year

Honorable mention to Bret Hart & The British Bulldog vs. Vader & The Patriot in a Flag Match at Badd Blood: In Your House as it was an unnecessarily long and boring affair that took place before the first ever Hell in a Cell Match.
Undertaker Vs Sid is ok
