Once (offscreen) in 'Solo' (Chewie is seen grappling with someone in a fight, cut away for a moment, then is holding an arm in each hand), once in a deleted scene from 'The Force Awakens' (Chewie rips off Unkar Plutt's arm), and once in an episode of 'The Book of Boba Fett' (Black Krrsantan does it to a Trandoshan). Not really my inner geek showing - I looked it up.

Be careful not to "Choke" on your aspirations, director...

You did miss some subtlety, he was tempted by the Darkside, but would have never gone through. He went there, had his saber, but stopped. Then Kylo woke up to find him standing there, saber in hand, and hell broke loose. A LOT of the duality of that scene was two different points of view for the same event. Kylo trying to survive a perceived attack, and Luke living with the regret of even entering the room in that state. The story very much is about sad old men and regret. Han's Midlife Crisis and family drama, and Luke making one mistake that ruined his entire future.

@Krok Krok What luke did makes sense. When Luke redeemed Darth Vader, he didn't have that much training in the Jedi way and he was clearly questioning the teachings of the Jedi. This helped him see Vader different; he didn't believe that those who turned to the dark side were irredeemable, unlike Obi-wan or Yoda. However, as he trained to become more like the old Jedi, his beliefs became more like theirs as well. This is why he contemplated killing Kylo. Rey is like the old Luke--she sees the good in Kylo. She is the "new hope" of this movie. Even Yoda realizes that the old Jedi ways were hypocritical and that they need to change. That's why he burned those old books. Everything makes sense.

Every time I see the scene of General Grievous being killed, it always makes me wonder why his internal organs were not completely enclosed. Why are they even a little bit visible? If anything, the only organic component of General Grievous should be the unaltered portions of his brain. He isn't force sensitive so living tissue doesn't really make a difference e.

And if you included the EU stuff then it also has some of the most horrifying stuff in any franchise short of warhammer 40k. Like seriously there are space vampires that suck out your brains through your ears, nose or mouth, alien goo that invades your body via, mouth, nose and ears and then erases you from existences and uses your body as a shell and diseases that basically melt you from the inside out. That's not even the worst stuff. There's even a scene in the EU I think it is where Vader slaughters an entire hospital full of women, children, crippled, sick and quadriplegics(people with no arms and legs) for no other reason then that they won't bow to the emperor. Or other times when star destroyer commanders wiped out entire planets, killing all life on them just for laughs.

I mean, it's still about magic space wizards...so....yeah. Not really a concept that can be marketed towards adults, but the graphic violence displayed in the movies aren't exactly the most appropriate for kids, which leaves it in a sort of odd spot. Then again, I suppose as long as there's no explicit sexual things in it, parents won't mind their child witnessing mass murder of similarly aged children.

@N-word Surfer yes 2 people yes. oh wait only in episode 3, over 200 people were killed and many of them were under 10 year old kids. in episode 2, 60 people were killed (not counting droids or clones) and in episode 1, about 50 people were killed. then in original trilogy way over 1 000 000 000 people were killed only in movies (stormtroopers aren't clones but actual people) in episode 7-8 at least 500 000 000 people were killed. Then there is star wars books and tv-series and there's so many people who have died its impossible to even count. People have counted that only Darth Vader has killed over 1000 people

Last time I was watching a generation tech video where he talked about kidnapping children into the Jedi order and murdering younglings KZread dropped a advert for mr Rodger's neighborhood.

4:31 - (Harvey the Hutt!?! I almost missed that!!!)I just KNEW you were referring to Luke and Jabba’s Palace. But when you reminded me of Leia’s over looked kill, o was completely off guard. Than to top it off with the Weinstein reference that fit like a Black Skywalker glove. (Anakin or Luke)

1) I always assumed the blue light when Sidious goes into the reactor was the release of his dark side energy. 2) Where the hell did Jango’s head go? Shouldn’t it have fallen out when Boba picked up the helmet? 3) I’d imagine what happens to Grievous when Obi-Wan shoots him is what goes on inside the body when someone gets shot center mass. And what happens underneath Imperial armor when it is successfully penetrated.

I would love for you to make a longer video about why Star Wars is great. First movie i was on in theather was a Phantom Menace with my dad when i was 4 years old. Till this day i didnt watch more than 20 movies in cinema. Its kind of a ritual, very special for me. I had nightmares with Darth Maul for couple years and now its my fav character. Thanks, I enjoyed the hell outta that. I never understood how Vader was redeemed or how Ben could ever be redeemed. Both are complicit to the deaths of billions. This video is right on! The root of all SW problems lie in Lucas´ ridiculous notion that you can package a story of war, genocide, deceit, betrayal, maiming and murder for children. Kershner´s is undoubtedly the most honest, and of course the best, version of SW because it stays true to its darkness. It doesn´t attempt to mask it with cute creatures or stupid childish plot ploys and antics which make no sense. And let us not forget that A New Hope is what it is because of Marcia Lucas work in the editing room, otherwise that movie would have sucked like the prequels.

Eh, as much as I want to agree with you there, let's not forget that GI Joe was a thing, you know, toys that are all about war marketed exclusively towards young children. I don't know about you, but Wild West toys were always around when I was little. Six Shooters galore, and my parents never even blinked at the idea of buying me and my sibling toy guns and swords to pretend kill each other with. Do you remember some of the shows on Cartoon Network and how violent some of them got? Powerpuff Girls, Samurai Jack, Teen Titans, etc. didn't exactly pull their punches when it came to violence. Sure, some of them were hilarious for pulling their punches when it came to actual death, and even more so when it came to anything even remotely sexual, but straight up violence on its own. not a problem! So graphic violence has been marketed towards children for a while now. And as gruesome as it can get, I find it hilarious to imagine Lucas pitching the concept of a world revolving around magic space wizards that is also purposefully marketed towards adults. Magic. Space. Wizards. How did it get so gruesome?

@@ShadeSlayer1911 you´re absolutely right pointing out all those examples and yes I am old enough to have played with ol´six shooters myself. We can really make a point of how mankind is so inherently violent and corruptible that no one is safe from this type of indoctrination, we celebrate it and cast off the ones who dare to disagree. It´s like we are too afraid to really look at ourselves so we choose to poison future generations, hence repeating the same cycle over and over.

10:07 I thought when admiral holdo did the kamikaze, she wasn’t at lightspeed at the point of contact. I thought she was just at the part where the ship is speeding up to get to lightspeed (like when the stars all get stretched before they actually go into hyperspace). Also, judging by the orientation of the first order ships, theres probably a hyperspace lane that she was going into. Unless I’m missing something else, it seems fine to me. It also looks very cool imo.
