Florida is known for its warm beaches, which draw gaggles of summer tourists this time of year. But what lives far below, existing at every moment of every day, seldom perceived by humanity? Who ever caught that Mola-Mola (Ocean Sunfish) on film, just did some very good science. Most see's this large fish floating at the surface letting birds eat parasites soaking up the Sun, This is the reason why, they have a daily routine of going Deep eating different pelagic Jellies, they get very cold and on return then loiters at the surface to warm. I wonder how many people has footage of deep diving Mola's, not many I bet.

    Amazing video of these deep sea beauties. The giant isopod the way how it was swimming looked like its legs were conducting a choir 🤣🤣🤣and it's prey was catching a ride. The swimming tunicate was a means of transport for its fellowmen🤣🤣🤣i have never seen a school of baby squids and the spaghetti brittle stars chilling out on the coral. The sunfish is cute looks like it has a frill. These deep sea beauties are worth watching. Love your videos 💯💯💯🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹its nice to see these beauties thrive in their habitat without human interference 🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹

Lovely little fish! #2 the squat lobster looks like a bouncer who has to check his sponge for your name to see if you are allowed past him. "ROV? Yeah, you're on the sponge. I'm going on break." #1 I never saw a video of mola mola actually in the deep. Still so chill!

  • @DeepseaOddities

    @DeepseaOddities

    Ай бұрын

    Hey there! Yes, recommend away at any time, I find viewer suggestions quite useful. Re: the poll and countdowns-- yes, what you say is true-- countdowns have long been the most common type of video I upload and they were very much the loser of that recent poll. I plan on doing at least one scripted, narrated video in June to change things up, and I should finally wade into freshwater topics. The clear winner of that poll were unknown creatures & oceanic mysteries, and I did make a top 3 unknown sea creatures (with footage of each) video after people voted. It's just a difficult topic to cover properly on a regular basis because there are only so many unknown creatures that have been filmed but not identified. That said, some broader "oceanic mysteries" like the USS Stein incident I previously covered are in order, and those historical topics lend themselves well to narrated videos. Hope this answers your question! Thanks for asking and for being here🦑

    The isopod was distributed while trying to consume its nutrient find with a dead fish. But was eventually disturbed by the ROV lights which when trying to flee from ROV, dropped its meal not knowing when it will come across something else that is dead that it could consume a rare nutrient rich find. In other words, the ROV was harassing the fleeing isopod. But this in the name of science. Not so good going ROV crew.
