Honestly surprised that Snorlax didn’t make the cut. I personally found it quite funny that the big lovable sleeping oaf of Route 12 was the cause of famine in ancient Sinnoh.

The same thing basically happened in its debut episode in the anime (except it was blocking off the river needed for growing crops), so I assume they might have taken inspiration from that.

Laventon: Terrified screaming Porygon z: Y r U running?

I'd attribute the lack of brutal and dark Pokedex entries in this game to Laventon. It makes sense for the Pokedex to have more lighthearted entries when it's written by one of the few humans in the game that doesn't see Pokemon as a threat.

And the fact that Laventon cannot comprehend the Porygon line and is creeped out by Porygon-Z makes in game sense and in universe sense. Time travel is relevant ever since Celebi's powers are explained, and Laventon doesn't know the advanced technology that came from modern day Sinnoh. And I can understand how he feels anout Porygon-Z's glitchy behaviour. Glitch effects in horror media can be unsettling, almost like an uncanny valley effect.

I too love how he's just completely drawing blanks about the Porygon line and seems outright unnerved by Porygon-Z.

Laventon's simple "This worries me." Is my favorite entry. Welcome back!

Hisuian zorua and zoruark are even creepier when you take into account the red marks are based on deadly small pox.

Porygon is one of my favorite lines, so seeing Laventon studying them with a mix of concern and fear is so edifying.

Ah the Pokédex entries from Laventon’s POV are hilarious. My favorite is the “This worries me” of Porygon Z. Lol Your humor is welcomes. Glad you’re back, but totally understand why you’ve been away for so long. The first year of your kiddo’s life is one of the most precious.

It’s funny to me how scared he is of Porygon and it’s evolutions. Theirs also and adventure Laventon had with the Gible Line. Observing their collecting and eating habits only to both save himself from being mauled by offering a Garchomp money for his life and learning that offering them shiny valuables to add to their horde is a good way to not get eaten by them.

Forgot how much I was lacking JWittz in my life. You were the first KZread channel I ever started to watch regularly, back in 2012 when I was in elementary school and still thought subscribing cost money. Here's to 10 years of great content, and glad to see there's more on the way!

The part I loved most of all from Legends Arceus was the Alpha Pokemon, I kinda wished that the Alphas would get each their own separate dex entry from the normal specimens like how Megas got their own separate dex entries from their normal forms in Gen 7, and the Giganimax forms in Gen 8.

I have a few: Alpha Drifloon: While normal Drifloon are able to carry off small children, the Alpha specimens seem large enough to carry off larger children and possibly small adults to who-knows-where. Alpha Lopunny: [censored for being too lewd] Alpha Bidoof: While normal Bidoof seem to lack any semblance of self preservation, the aggressiveness of alpha specimens seems to be a bit of an improvement, but not by much. Note: Some of these might need work.

Literally been rewatching these dex videos the other day, hoping JWittz would make his long awaited return. I am not disappointed.

The Porygon line is the most unique and unexplainable. Love that digital duck

Those effects for the Porygon line entries were pretty rad. They were probably challenging to get on point but I think it’d be neat to see similar stuff in the future.

The Togetic one doesn't seem that weird to me. It just means that before then, it was only seen in captivity from evolving Togepi. Also, I think you showed an image of Arbok when you meant to use Ekans.

And considering that you're litererally creating the region's FIRST Pokedex, it makes sense that any 'records' that existed beforehand were less than comprehensive and not 100% accurate.

It makes sense to me. Togepi needs to bond with another to evolve, which is more likely to happen when it finds a trainer who will care for it than struggling to survive in the wild as a walking egg baby.

That Pokemon is one of the reasons why I'm glad Pokemon don't exist in real life

weird/creepy pokédex entries is what got me into this channel and i've been a huge fan ever since. glad to see you're back!

Haven't really kept up with jwitts since I was a teenager. Happy to see him enjoying life and fatherhood. I've been meaning to catch up on his vids, and seeing this video that's familiar to his older ones feels nice to see.

It's been ages since I watched a JWittz video. With what feels like the new age of this channel, it would be interesting to see videos not necessarily pertaining to Pokémon, but JRPGs/other IPs in general.

I used Porygon/2/-Z for my playthrough and gave it the best possible name I could think of given the circumstances: Wayback (after the Wayback Machine)

I think the Pokemon Legend of Arceus time distortion phenomenon is cause by Pokemon scarlet and violet Professor trying to do time travel.

Oh yeah, that one is quite a drastic shift from the usual Snorlax fare. Normally it's either "this thing can eat rotten food" or "this thing's so chill that you can bounce on its belly". Then LA hits us with the stark reality of Snorlax.

The Ambipom bit is a bonding thing, not a cult thing. This is a time in the pokemon world where people and pokemon are still largely separated (N would be ecstatic), so for a Group of Ambipom welcoming a human into the group shows they truly trust and/of like that human. Also welcome back man!

My first favorite KZreadr, coming back with the content that brought me here in the first place. I absolutely love the Hisuin dex. I always had the Headcannon that dex entries are written by the literal children catching these Pokémon. Like some weird dex entries are just old stories of parents trying to scare them, or outrageous ones are from kids exaggerating. But we know exactly who’s writing the Hisui dex and he is telling us exactly what he’s found.
