10 ways to kill your Sulawesi shrimps BG Audio FIXED

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

Hi everyone, as a follow up to my top 10 tips for keeping and breeding Sulawesi shrimps, here are 10 major screw ups I’ve done with my Sulawesi shrimp keeping experience. I’m finally semi successful with three colonies of over 250+ Sulawesi shrimps and hope these scenarios will guide you in the right direction and learn from my mistakes. Hopefully avoiding the financial and mental stress from the shrimp deaths.
Hope you enjoy the KPOP music in the background 😊

Great sharing! really require more knowledge on sulawesi ... however i think you can have a better control of your ph by having some kh in the water simply by adding a little crush coral. With it you can have a stable ph / water parameter with or without plants .. cheers mate! Wish me luck too as i have just starting once again to have a second go with sulawesi .. i failed on my first attempt as well :D but hey .. everyone starts from somewhere! Lastly, i think the waterchange part there's another tip you could try which is increasing the speed of refilling every single time you do a wc .. its to train them to adapt and tolerate more changes of water parameter .. and eventually you'll be able to notice them becoming even more hardy and able to tolerate way more .. *( this is what i do for both neo and caridina , i believe it would for sulawesi as well :) good luck trying!

Aquatic Haus great tips and great comments. and I'll give them a try. my 3 colonies are over 300 strong now. I'm afraid to switch it up as im a big believer that if it's not broken why fix it. but I am tempted to give these ideas a try. thanks for commenting

  • @AquaticHaus

I totally agree with you but i think its worth the try as it gives them more room to tolerate any unwanted situation that lies ahead ( just incase yea, who knows one day the power supplies black out for a long period or something ) Cheers mate!

Excellent video!! I'm from India and finding Sulawesi shrimps is rare, I did get my hands on home bred Cardinals and I bought 10 lost 5 since it was shipped in winter season. Anyway I'm happy that my colony is gradually getting bigger, I now have around 25 shrimps approximately. In the video you said you had separate wild tanks. My question to you would be, can we mix both home bred with wild ones?
