My boyfriend is naturally magnetic, no joke. He's super curious about everything and everyone and every single person I've introduced him to immediately likes him, because he blends in, takes interest. I can be talking about how this friend has achieved that and he'll come up with 10 questions I would never have thought to ask and I'm always like... I gotta learn to do this as well !!! My mom was also like that and it was no surprise to se the funeral home MORE THAN FULL because she just connected deeply with a lot of people and she was invested in her community. She was truly herself and a great model to have. Most of the skills you talked about today made me think about the tips that I found to nail an interview, and I am trying hard to build those up, because it's never too late. :) Thanks for the wonderful video

Sounds like me and my mother as well. We both have a natural affinity for people so it's easy for the both of us to make friends. I have the problem now of having too many friends to invite to my birthday (my house is not that big, don't have the money to rent something). So i have to select my closest friends which is still 15 people

Conversation is key! In 2016 I was feeling a bit lonely and I decided to make more social connections (especially female friendships). I started conversations with shop owners, artists, etc. I asked them about themselves or their work and it opened so many doors. I made so many new friends and connections that year and those friendships are still thriving today. Just showing interest in someone or something I thought was cool or unique brought so much love into my life. My girl gang are my favorite people in the world and I’m constantly in awe of their passion, drive, and beautiful souls.

as someone that is socially magnetic I totally agree with everything you said especially putting others on a pedestal, ppl often get nervous or anxious or awkward when talking to someone they think is better than them at something and they become hyper aware of it and think the other person is comparing them to them self and think they are better, while it's not the case and who ever does that is the actual insecur one . don't creat this status piramid in your head instead just understand that are all the same person in deferent bodies

Much like etiquette tips, social interactions are based in compassion for the other and focusing less on yourself. Focusing on yourself too much likely gets us into anxious/self-conscious mindframes and habits in the first place.

Idk if you already mentioned this and I just missed it but I think there’s one important thing to remember. So I’m speaking from experience: SMILE GENTLY AND FRIENDLY to others, ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU’RE INTRODUCING YOURSELF no matter how you think others perceive you (if they’re friendly with you or not at all). Don’t overact by your guesses how others feel. Be you and SMILE. Like just a little, don’t show your teeth too much, you could change your facial expressions by the theme of the interview/talk… (Plus I’m sorry if I wrote anything wrong, English isn’t my native language.)

For me one thing that works is my memory, haha. I naturally just like to reflect on events and personalities after they happen, so when I meet a person again after a long time i still remember each and every moment we spent together and when i mention those things they are surprised and pleased by how much i paid attention to them, for example they clothes they wore on a birthday party one and a half year ago, their hyperfixation at the time, etc. I believe this contributes to the topic of being magnetic.

“What everyone is looking for is the feeling of feeling enough” THIS - but going deeper into yourself, doing therapy and meditation on our insecurities, taking the time to do so, it’s not as easily saleable although much more fulfilling and long lasting

I would LOVE it to always work that way. I am like that naturally, I am genuinely interested in people during conversations, they're often surprised how much I remember about them. No one, and I'll repeat, NO ONE has ever done it for me. People I end up in group projects with are the people who always try to take all of that energy i have to give just for themselves. I talk fast cause I've learned that if I wanna even finish what I have to say, it has to be done as fast as possible. I always stand up for people and try to include the ones who seem left out, only to later be left out myself with no one to stand up for me Edit: guys I've met a person who did it for me, I can't say "no one" anymore

Hi! I must admit that I'm in a similar situation as you, I feel that nobody cares about what I have to say or what I've been doing. Unfortunately I think that everybody is too self absorbed and so when you start a conversation and you ask people about themselves they could go on forever but never ask the same question to you, because to them you are less interesting; it makes me wonder if there is something wrong with me or not, maybe I'm not interesting. You made me realize why I speak so fast😂 I've never thought about it that way so I have to thank you for that. I hope things will improve over time for both of us. Have a nice day ☺️

And the catch, do not give to others with the hope of getting something in return. To give is to expect nothing in return, so keep that in mind. As a kid and teenager, I followed all these tips strictly, but because I was desperate about being cared about, I surrounded myself with takers instead. Keep in mind what your boundaries are, and what your motivations for giving kindness are. These underlying forces play a huge roll in the effect of this advice.

I learned by myself to get more social... But in my way and energy level. When I am with people I want them to feeling seen and that I hear them. At work I have some facts about them in mind to talk about it with them. That makes a memory and connection. The more you connect, the easier it gets. My rule is to have that with the unique people and loving ones. If I dont feel it, I dont want to interact with them a lot... Its about boundaries and that both sides feel seen and loveable

Thank you, very helpful. Another tip for introverts, talk to someone you know, someone close before you need to engage with strangers, like in a networking event. It kind of trains and calms, because when it's the first conversation throughout the day it may be more awkward. Even more if you didn't talk to anyone for days

Thank you! I'm trying to prep for the social aspect of getting to attend a new school, highschool specifically! I've always been the kid who was excluded, ever since i was FOUR. I'm autistic, so A LOT of these tips might not work for me, but i try to weed out the ones that won't work and just apply the ones that will. My disability makes me have a hard time explaining, so i'm prone to stuttering, and it also makes me seem aloof and cold, even though i'm not like that. I hope i can apply atleast some of these, i atleast want to be somewhat liked at the new school unlike all the other schools i've went to.

At work i use to get so nervous around new clients, but now im a very high value aesthetician with people booking months in advance to get in, now i see new clients as "im great at my job, and im doing great work they will either become a regular or they can find someone else because im high demand" im incorporating that into my real life, you either make the equal effort to put into the friendship or you can go because i have plenty other people who i deem important to make time for. I am extremely understanding and appreciate great communication, and if you're a red flag, you're out 😂

Also, I like to add that we have our own uniqueness that makes us magnetic. For example you are smart you should maximize it but not flash it because you don't want them to know you in one trait but learn to use your potential and that's your starting point.

Regarding section 4: being a magnet. Turning interest outward sometimes works and, when done genuinely, can foster real connection and much more interesting conversations, from experience. I would, however, like to hear some thoughts about some exceptions: 1. Sometimes someone showing interest and asking questions can come off a bit performative, intrusive and try-hard. I am saying this from experience. For example, I used to go on some tinder dates or have met people in social situations where they would ask me the standard questions (what I do for a living, where I went to uni, if I like it here, if I have seen any movies lately, etc) and it seemed rehearsed and disingenuous at worst, and repetitive and standard at best. It has made me feel disinterested and uncomfortable. Maybe I am too ready to judge, but I bet I am not the only one. People are highly critical of each other, especially in high-achiever communities. People are also easily bored. 2. It can be true that someone being disinterested and dismissive can be a turn-off. However, I have found myself repeatedly craving the attention and validation of people who are behaving like this. Many people's interest does peak when they are rejected. Since they are dismissing me, they are the real deal and only high standards apply to them, right? If I were better, they would pay attention, right? That person seems to get their attention, look how much better they are than me. What can I do to get their attention? In conclusion, my theory is that those tips seem to apply when your audience are healthy people who are not highly critical. For snobs, being nice, interested, and respectful, might be a turn-off.

Well for the first one it feels rehearsed because it probably is. Those are standard questions but if those are the only questions then you never really learn anything about each other. Like asking if someone goes to uni and what their major is I then ask them about it. Or sometimes they have pins or a bag from a game or show I like, so I make that the topic. Also sharing stuff about yourself to try to give the other person smthg to work off and so it doesn't feel like an interview. Smthg that I find successful is mentioning smthg that's been on my mind lately and ask them what they think. If someone isn't branching out their questions or isn't sharing additional info then they don't usually seem that engaged. Depending on body language tho I might just assume they're a bit awkward. For the second one yeah idk, I don't view it like that. If someone ain't interested then cool, there are other people who will be so best not waste my time here. I'll be friendly but I won't chase after someone who doesn't want me. So I guess it depends on one's need for approval or curiosity?

This is so funny cuz I remember seeing this girl on tiktok in a video talking about how she was getting ready to break up with this guy that she had a crush on for years or something? and she was breaking up with him because he got a girlfriend, but she was acting shocked because she like thought they were dating but apparently they were't and she never even told him she liked him and she confused everyone

Since I was a child, my father would tell me to speak in 10 words or less. He would also time the conversation proclaiming unless you speak quickly and to the point, no one will listen or care what you have to say 🤐

I have a question, is it ok to eat junk food once in while? Like I'm trying to eat only home cooked food, proteins, fruits or yoghurt but I feel sad that I never allow myself to ever eat junk food ever again like chocolate, burgers, fries, etc. If yes, when do you recommend? Once a month? Once a year? +I really enjoy your videos and it was you that helped me overcome an0r3xia so I'm super grateful 💗

From my personal experience, I only eat junk food when I go for outings w my friends or family. If I go out very often, then I restrain myself from eating it and choose healthier options. I usually eat junk foods 2-3 a month. And I think this is healthy, and we'll balanced
