You forgot to mention the sound quality when you play music or watch KZread etc…way better on iphone

Ive been a high refresh rate pusher myself, but now ive realised that it just doesnt matter tbh. You kinda feel it after using some device with high refresh rate and then quickly switch to a 60hz panel, it feels like 30hz but after a couple of minutes, it feels buttery smooth again 🤷‍♂️. Its like a bonus feature, its not essential, but its nice to have.

Whenever I use her phone just to scroll I do notice the difference and it definitely is a big difference. *however* Like he said, after switching back to my 12 it does look jittery, laggy & stuttery. But after like 7 mins of trying to readjust to my 12, it’s 60hz looks buttery smooth again. 120hz is nice to have but it’s not important or essential unless you game on it

My husband and I have been using a Note 5 for years and recently bought two S22's. Big difference! Lol! Our kids have always had iphones - I think they have the 11. My main comparison between the two makes of phones was that it always seems the iphones are so much more intuitive for those of us older folks who aren't really into tech. Being of the older generation who was used to whatever we bought coming with printed owner's manuals, it has been frustrating trying to figure out how to get the answers to how to do/find things on the new phones. So I just usually do a Google search and get my quick answer. (The online owner manuals, to me, are too detailed and they might as well be printed in a foreign language!) But I am so glad I ran across your channel here. I actually can understand what you are talking about and enjoy your videos.

well, camera consistency and performance is debatable - samsung has more real and sharper photos, but is worse at video. the 40ppi difference is unnoticeable. software improved well on Samsung phones - 4y update, consistent security and bug fixes and updates, however there are delays depending on your region. its just what do you exactly prefer. I switched to iOS and its extremely limiting the hardware... now, about that cinematic video, its just portrait video and Samsung has it too and even with better edge detection. so in conclusion - if you dont care about functions and hardware, want nice video quality and something simple, go with an iPhone. if you want loads of customization, functions and beautiful photos, go for Samsung.

The IP rating is definitely overlooked by most tech enthusiasts. Samsung was the best when it came to water resistance. However, that all changed in 2018 when the iPhone XS came out. Samsung needs to step up their game in this department.

I've always admired iOS from afar. Had 4 S series and one A. There are just some things I can do on Android that are essential for me that I can't do on iOS. But it certainly has an undeniable polish to it.

I was a bit critical of your previous video comparing these the other way around Nick. It’s probably because all the players are raising their game and the real meaningful difference for most is OS preference. I do like the even thin bezels on the Samsung quite unusual in the Android space even now but it would always be the iPhone for me because of the ease of use and ecosystem benefits. Thumbs up for keeping your phones in A1 condition even the older ones and presenting them well on camera👍

I like the S22 way more but iPhone has been closing the gap for me with the Pro line. The 14 Pro miiight finally be the first iPhone I'd be willing to use, but it'd have to get rid of the notch and use USB C for me to consider it over the S22/S23

I have both. Iphone 13 pro and S22 ultra. There's no way I can say that I love one over the other. Both have such strong points in some areas ( that the other is lacking) that you gotta have both. I got the s22 ultra for office work while I use the Iphone for my personal stuff.

Why do you need USB C though? I always see it mentioned, but...I use my port for charging, that's it, other stuff is on cloud or I can send it via AirDrop or other apps. Notch will probably be changed into droplets, but honestly, you don't see it on day 3 and it typically doesn't cut into movies etc.

Try the s22 on 60hz before judging the battery, since iPhone 13 is on 60hz so it's not a fair comparison.

3 months ago, I switched to Iphone13 from Pixel 3. I don't know about Galaxy S22, but I am pretty sure Andoid is much more user-friendly than iOS.

I am looking to upgrade from my 2018 Samsung Galaxy S9. I always compare the features between Samsung Galaxy and the newest iPhone when I am in the market for a new phone (this is only my third time switching up smart phones in my life). The last two times I did this, it was really easy for me to pick Samsung because of the microSD, headphone jack, and price. Now the two phones are so similar, I don't even know which one is better for me overall. Agh!

If s22 had the battery life, although with fast charger it’s not a huge issue, but I like not having to worry about it. I wish I had both. Currently I use the 13 and s10e, so I get to have best of both worlds.

One feature that keeps me away from Apple is Bluetooth codec. I have the Sony xm4s and it just sounds better with AAC and LDAC.

Have been waiting for this one I would for sure pick iphone over that s22

Great video Nick!! I have been using IPhone since the 6S plus was released. I have grown very bored with it now, and am looking to jump over to the android side. However, I have heard very many horror stories about Samsung, Google, and Oneplus over the last couple years. Everything from all of them overheating, horrible battery life, and a truck load of issues with android 12. The pixel 6 sounds like a hot mess just from what I have seen. At this rate I am considering the older models and looking at the note 10 plus, or note 20 ultra, as it sounds like they don’t have as many bugs. Idk 🤷🏻

The note 20 ultra had camera focus hunting issues BIG TIME. Those issues MAY have been fixed with Android 12. I haven't heard any deal breaker issues with the s21 ultra. Outstanding battery life as well as an incredible camera set up. It has one of the best, if not thee best zoom cameras on any smart phone that i know of. It might be worth a look. In case your interested, I'm a s20 user who experienced the same focusing issues also but found that an update fixed it for the most part.

as an ex samsung fan that just switched from the s9+ to the iphone 13 mini (because of size and that it has some of the best camera, battery life, and processor) samsung is the "iphone" of android, meaning that it's overpriced and pretty bad. If you want camera go for Huawei, and if you want a smooth phone with a nice camera and battery go for Motorola (especially g20 or g30 ).

From my experience i wouldn't switch to samsung. 2 of their phones have failed me. One was a note 9 which refused to use VoLte, meaning that any time i tried to use my network while on a call, it wouldn't work. Calls would also fail to go through most of the time. The 2nd phone that failed me was a Galaxy s20. That phone was awesome.. while it lasted, which was 2 or so months. Everything worked fine on there until one day it decided that it didn't like my carrier anymore and only let me send messages and make and receive phone calls. Data refused to work. Went back to iphone and I haven't had a problem since.

I like s22 more but the battery life makes 13 easier to recommend as for the rest well it depends if you like one ui or ios

The iPhones have had a higher average resale value because Apple customers are willing to pay more whether they buy new or used. Samsung buyers, and Android customers in general, are careful to not overpay for their devices. They shop around. Samsung has to compete with many other Android manufacturers while Apple has no competition for iOS devices. If you want an iOS phone, you're stuck with Apple. Also, Apple rarely, if ever, discounts their products while Samsung regularly offers huge discounts and sales promotions.

As a long life iPhone user, the S22 video convinces me more of a possible switch than I think this one would convince a Galaxy user to switch to Apple.

Battery life is not bad after 2 weeks of using the S22, You just have to try before you tell your opinion. It fixes itself with time.

I've always used Samsung and have always been happy with them but I am thinking about trying out a iPhone this time. The price point is a big downside tho

I just entered into the 30th’s realm of age and let me tell you the iPhone has become a solid reliable no hassle always work device. I used to be a Samsung knight until the S9 plus after that they went south. I still carry a Pixel for as backup tho but for everyday the iPhone is just unbeatable in EVERY way. It just works 🤷🏻‍♂️

The battery life is the main reason I switched from the S22 to the iPhone 13. I can’t through the day comfortably with no real concern for a charger.

Also, 6 months after release the iPhone 13 pro has gone much cheaper. I got mine for £900 brand new on eBay. That’s for the pro. Used sells for 700-800£.

Don't understand the focus on IOS updates. It feels there is so many happy to get a minor update often for something that is broken which breaks something else.

Yes Apple releases a lot of updates and often. It feels like that they don't do things correctly and then they have to keep sending out updates to patch bugs and so on.

As far as re-sell value goes I traded in my s20U for a s22+ 256g I only paid $500 and got $150 in credit. You might not have as much resale value but you have more trade in value

iPhone 13 is my first iPhone after using android for years. I would say the most impressive thing about it is the battery life. I am moderate user and sometimes heavy, my old budget android phone 4000mAh won't even last till evening, I need to plug in the charger. But this iPhone would last me an entire day and still have like 20% midnight. If I use it moderately, it might even last me 2 days without charging it, crazy. People always joke about iPhone's battery life before including me, but not anymore.

One thing to consider regarding iphone memory is that iphone apps takes twice as much memory than Android apps. Also not controllable growing of "Other" or "so called "System" files on Iphone that you can't delete or go trough is annoying. All in all for applications you need twice as much memory in iphone comparing to Android.

Same phones.. if you like android, take s22.. if you like ios.. go for iphone 13.. is that simple

I'm using a Galaxy S20+ and I must say that the stand-by is terrible. The battery performs badly especially if I'm traveling and my mobile data is on and barely get 4 hours of SOT. It is indeed frustrating! Now I want to change my phone and these 2 phones in the video are my options. Better battery and resale value are 2 practical points making me want to the iPhone more. Though I'll miss all the customisation

not really the most secure, Id say its sometimes less secure than the Android, try to check the internet. It also depends on the type of AndroidOS - you can use MIUI, OneUI, stock,... And yes, optimalization also depends on the manufacturer and their UI

The biggest differense in theese two is battery life.

Samsung really messed up this time with the regular s22, the battery life is straight up trash and performance is also compromised, sure its got the features and looks but it's 2022 and such pricey phones shouldn't have such basic issues, I own this regular s22 and it gets really hot soon after doing some basic tasks like using camera and even in navigating the ui.

And unlike the ultra, the regular one doesn't even have the cooling pipes as some teardowns suggested, like how hard would it be for samsung to provide this for a genuine flagship experience? All I am saying is if you can't provide the basis performance and stability of a flagship phone then you probably shouldn't price it in the same range especially where the iphone 13 resides.

According to Steve Jobs, you don't need a larger display or a pixel density larger than 326ppi. IP68 it's no use if your warranty doesn't cover it if you drop it into water or some other liquids.

Damn ..these debates are top notch😭🔥 my experience though..is that yeah the s22 battery backup is real bad(even if you turn the high 120 off). So,consider getting the s22+ if you want better backup. The iphone 13 is offcourse undoubtedly good but its a matter of preference if the battery prob is solved for the Samsung. But if you got the papers then ..well get the top flagship ...the ultras and pro maxs.👍🖤 I got both samsung and iphone btw. So no debate for me ..i like both.🖤

Wrong. Samsung's portrait video is much sharper n better than Apple's cinematic video, which looks like a softened mess. Yes the OIS is better in Apple's.

After my last Samsung Android Update my cellphone no longer operates properly they can't fix it and won't honor Warranty/ Insurance) !!! I never own anything Samsung ever again !! So now I'm transitioning from an Android Expert to using iPhone !!!

I love Samsung, its UI and I think the camera is noticably better in low light, but I am going for the iPhone 13. I have always used Samsung, so it's time to try something new.

There's a test on youtube if you search it up, basically by the time iphone 13 gets to 40% the samsung dies, and iphone lasts like 5 more hours or so.

This video is based on personal preference! Samsung galaxy s22( approximately Samsung galaxy s13) vs iPhone 13. Why should we wait for the iPhone14 then?..Coz I read some comments bout waiting for the iPhone14. Can't still beat the galaxy tho. IPhone is never better than the Samsung!! Sammy dominates every aspect save the processor..and the gap is too close with apples processor taking the lead save that, galaxy is the the boss here.

I checked in store and the cameras on samsung are a joke compared to the other flagships lol. I have samsung, my 2 friends have samsung and huawei. We went to check the phone store to see the difference between samsung s22, huawei p50, motorola edge 30 and iphone. The samsung s22 Ultra had a worse camera than my friend's Huawei p40 pro, and worse than iphone 13 too. Faded colors, and if you zoom in on the face you can see the pixels quite well while with the huawei p40/p50 pro and the iphones you could barely notice (also better colors). Not to talk about that fact that in the time we took 3-4 pictures and a 3 seconds video it overheated a lot compared to the other phones. Maybe on paper s22 has better cameras, but again on paper s22 has better battery than iphone 13 yet in a real life test it got destroyed.

At the level of the camera it is purely subjective, and objectively the Samsung Selfie camera is better than iPhones and Samsungs are today better for the ''professionals'' than the iPhones with the new raw video function and MotionCam which is better than Apple's ProRes. For the raw photo again Expert-Raw destroys Apple's raw photo mode. For the battery, if you can use a standard iPhone 13, then you can use the S22 at 60 hertz and easily save 2 hours more. For updates, we can see what ios 15 is on iPhones X, just the version number which has gone from 14 to 15 in fact. I still can't believe that only iPhones from the 11's have night mode photo and that only the 13 Pro have it on all the sensors 🤦🏽‍♂️. No USB-C in 2022 or at least lightning 3.0 🤦🏽‍♂️....

Thing is you can't make the argument that 120hz on s22 is an advantage if you are also going to say that dropping the screen to 60hz improves battery life. You can't just pull the best numbers from both when it's going to be one or the other. Also just a note, even if you consider the A15 an iterative change over the A14, which in many ways it is, it doesn't change the fact that it performs better than the s22' 8 gen 1 in pretty much every way and is more efficient, keeping the phone cooler, minimizing battery degradation, and extending overall battery life. Do agree, no USB c charging is kinda wack.

If Iphone can pull a 120hz screen on the iphone 13 pro while having better battery life than the iphone 13 while also technically having a smaller battery (3095 mAh for pro, 3240 for 13) why can't samsung do the same? Lol samsung is such a joke now, and this comes from someone who owned samsung phones most of my life and still has an s9+

An yeah they cannot compete with iphone the camera on s9 got smoked by my friend's 6s and X Shitsung lost it the moment they downgraded s series to hd display making them flat they took the s series main component which was the curves out of it criticizing apple for not giving charger and going on to follow their footsteps. Giving midranges more recent updates than flagships m done with shitsung never will i ever purchase any of their phone unless its worth every penny like s8 s9 and unless and until their flagships of 5 to 6 years dont run on their current launch flagships.

U didn't even talk abt how the galaxy can video in 120fps

Still using s9+, but I will change to iphone because software support and stability soon.

same here, my s9+ is a bit older than 3 years and it started dying on me, wanted to get the s22 but after seeing some reviews and battery tests with iphone I switched over

Love apple..but the prices of their devices got steeper..so switched to android

I went from galaxy S21 plus to Iphone 13 pro max and i can Honestly tell you, IT WAS THE WORST DECITION EVER

It was really important to know about ip68 ratings on I phone.. I'm gonna have 2 thought on choosing the device.. Last time i bought the phone with in 6 months due to low ip rating it could not survive the water damage I'm not gonna take that risk again.. I lost $450 for nothing I must say I'm happy with your comparison last time I choose s22 but I'm gonna go with I phone 13...thanks Nick.. get the 🟢 one

120hz vs 60hz And a little bit higher pixel density for the iPhone 13?? The iPhone can’t have the better display on this side. But when it comes to software and performance, the iPhone 13 is significantly better

battery life will be more on iphone, because it has less screen resolution, less screen to body ratio. can do less activity the android and highly optimized.

I love this video not to mention this isn’t even the pro iPhone

To be short: the iPhone is a phone you can take to war, that's why it's always the choice for me

I really wanted to love the S22. (I have a iPhone 13 pro max) The S22 - battery life..... Is terrible!!! I have to watch it and I feel like it lives on the charger more then my iPhone There is also the fact that the S22 gets warm. When I like to scroll.. Spend time on KZread or Instagram.... The Samsung gets very warm to the touch. I do like customization on the S22. It does feel nice in the hand. Not to mention.... There is just more to offer in the iPhone.

Which is better iphone 13 vs iphone 12 pro max ....both of them are priced same in 2022..... confused

They have the same cameras, but iphone 13 has a better processor, im not sure about battery life tho. You should check some tests, if the battery life difference is huge then go for pro max, if not i suggest iphone 13 so you get all the features+more longevity.

I like the green iPhone 13. Mine is midnight. The color is way better than the S22. Did I say I really like the green iPhone 13?

Smoother animations, better 🔋 life and eco system! Everything else Samsung dominates :-P
