This has nothing to do with our government, but rather society itself. People drove that kid mad, he supplied himself with a easily accessible gun because it’s OUR right to have guns. Notice that it was not a semi automatic weapon, but instead a revolver and shotgun. What we (specifically the people) need is to treat everyone with respect because we are all in this life together. Until that day comes (which it may never), we must sit here and wonder why this scenario continues to happen. No protest against guns or precautions put in place will stop this madness because if someone wants to do something terrible, they clearly will go to any lengths in order to do such.

My son was killed in an attempted robbery by a fellon who had a gun illegally after they ran him town with a car to knock him off his bike ( he was 18)......so please tell how my son would still be alive if criminals all turn in their assault weapons ( anything that can cause trauma to a human body is an assault weapon) because the only thing that might have prevented them from killing him is if my son had an open carry permit! Nothing will bring my son back...nothing will bring their children back....but trying to take everyones guns will end up causing more deaths than this country is ready to handle....one because we will fight (again) to pritect ouraelves from tyranny and the criminals (who will still have their guns) will have no fear of being stopped by a legal gun owner durring the commission of their crimes! Also please stop comparing countries...its like comparing apples and oranges....bring back mental institutions for the criminally insane....stop putting babies on anti psycotics because they are TOO difficult for you to parent...put discipline back in the hands (or should i say switches and belts) of the parents...turn off the fucking violent t.v. shows and video games...take your kids to a park...send them outside to play...when they get bullied at school allow them to defend themselves with out fear of being made to suffer severe consequences....let them duke it out...suspend them for three days and let them work it out! My school bully (whos ass i finally whooped) is like family to me now...the god mother to my children...in the delivery room when my oldest was born...my maid of honor at my wedding (actually intriduced me to my ex husband) after our last fight in high school we were sent to alternative school....as punishment we were forced to ride to and from school together by our parents...guess what we worked it the fuck out! We gave too much power over our children to the goverment, schools, and devices that we have raised a bunch of spoiled, scared, mean and disrespectful bunch of future adults! My kids threatened me with CPS one time...one....i told them heres the phone and the phonebook...ill give you 10 minutes to call and beg them to come get you...but at the end of that call tell them to bring an ambulance too...because if im going to jail for whooping you and have to jump through hoops to keep you....you are going to need medical help....guess what...they never threatened me again...they didnt call my bluff thank god and my kids fear an ass whooping if the messed up....i have 2 grown daughters who make me proud everyday at how amazing they are...and they are only 21 and 24....my son before he died made me proud the most...he never disappointed his momma...and feared that being gay i would stop loving him....well he was wrong and i knew long before he told me! Parents need to have control and stop letting other things occupy their time and start focusing on their kids! The break down of the family as a unit is what has caused all of this!

Guess what though we were running around having fun with endorphins flowing that it wouldn't build up like it does now from everyone being inside all day everyday and than forced to take drugs on top of it because it's normal to be dpressed when your inside all the time. Parents are so scared there kid will get hurt or kidnapped now you rarely see anyone outside. With even less social interaction with phones and the internet so it's no surprise when a kid pops and looses it. If some one pissed me off we would fight it would be over no harm just some bruises. None of that works. Gun control doesn't work, look at England. Airport security doesnt work. Remmebr the bombing? Can't remember where but it was before the security where all the people were waiting. They are still sitting ducks. It doesn't stop the problem. Honestly, these parents need to get into a lot of trouble. This kid got the gun from his father, so they either were not locked up or not secure enough. In no way should they have access to them, ever. My dad has guns and I am 21 and still don't know the code to his safe and I have guns of my own! The teacher should not have a round in the chamber where it could go off and hurt or kill someone. It takes under 2 seconds for a person to rack the slide and put a bullet in the chamber, and it can take up to ten minute for police to get there, figure out where the shooter is and devise a plan. A school shooting can take place in 2 minutes. Now which would you rather depend on?

Watching this in May of 2022 as another school shooting has happened at Robb Elementary School which is where? In TEXAS! 18 children and 3 adults. That vow that it would never happen again apparently was broken. My heartfelt prayers to the families of the precious lives that were taken.

Shock most likely. There are old war stories of ppl losing arms an legs to land mines who are so in shock they cant comprehend the pain an even try to go looking for the lost part of them they just lost moments ago. That scene in "Saving Private Ryan" where the solider is looking for his blown off arm in a disturbingly calm manner is based on amalgamation of such stories. In rare cases their minds are so effected by shock they claim to still be able to feel that lost appendage years after its gone, I believe they call that a "phantom pain".

Just maybe, some will be saved by recognizing the signs. How are we to stop the next shooting if we don't know anything except what happens afterwards? I work with a lot of kids and I have for a lot of years. Very naughty one's. I think our foster parents, juvenile center staff and case workers need to step up and give some perspective to some people.

I’m now scared to go to my school even tho I live Scotland and there haven’t been a shooting since 1996 I shouldn’t be scared know one should be scared to go to school it’s meant to be a safe place

it's me Luigi Yes it dose. In the 80s we had murders committed inside the schools in the 90s security was bumped up and metal detectors installed. Murders didnt happen inside the schools anymore.

I’m so happy that Australia doesn’t have that many active shooting Thank God

Destructus mate there are a lot of dangerous animals here but if you mind your own business and arent stupid you’ll be fine. most poisonous spiders and snakes have antivenoms so unless you are ages away from a way to get these, you should be ok. shark attacks are very uncommon, youre far more likely to be involved in a car accident than any of these dangerous animals. heck youre probably as likely to be struck by lightning. school shooting arent a thing in Australia, and neither are shootings in general tbh. (touch wood it stays that way)

My heart goes out to the exchange student’s parents. Imagine getting that call that your child died over seas after you allowed them to learn in America.

The thing I don’t understand is that teachers tell you to be calm in these situations like that makes it worse they could get shot and you think there gonna be calm???

My heart goes out to all the victims and their families. Rip all the innocent lives that got taken that day.♥️

Our schools cannot continue to be a war zone. This is unreal and the adults are going to have to do a better job at protecting the children in these public school. Do something!!!

This is so sad I can feel their pain and it makes me cry my school has had gun threats and it's scary

Oh my. It’s so sad that these things exist. I’m thankful enough that i’m getting homeschooled. And when one of the teen had to watched his friends death is pure sad.
