Gangrene cured with Epsom Salts: I watched my dad save my grandfathers foot, leg & his life from the ravages of gangrene about 60 yrs ago. My grandfather was diabetic, had one foot and his leg amputated clear up to the knee because of gangrene. He got that awful stuff in his other foot next. He told my dad he wasn't going to his grave in pieces & told my dad, "either we find a way to cure it at home or I go to my grave with it. Dad soaked his foot in hot water & Epsom salts 2 x per day. Then dried it & rubbed it down with alcohol. That got the circulation going, and sucked out the poison! The gangrene completely disappeared within a few weeks, grandpa got well & never got it again!!!. My dad was a better Dr. than those with big degrees!!!!!! Makes me sick when I hear of the Doctor's of today still chopping off diabetic peoples appendages because of gangrene. There IS a simple non-toxic cure!!!!!!

Congratulations to your grandfather and I know you made your dad feel good giving him the compliment you did and there is absolutely no doubt your dad is a better doctor than the so called "professionals" out there. That's the problem with our society. People believe that college degrees equal educated and nothing could be farther from the truth. The ONLY people that get offended by the truth are the uneducated college degreed idiots. They are jealous because there are people that are far more educated than they are and they get ANGRY because they spent half their lives learning nonsense.

I got bit by my cat years ago, and it was getting infected. I went to the doctor to get some antibiotics. He said just soak that in hot water with epsom salt. What a good doctor, giving a simple and effective remedy instead of doling out prescriptions. Anyways, it worked great, and that's what I've used ever since, for any deep cut or bad scrape, along with the splinters.

In so many Nations in the Caribbean and Mediterranean countries we used salt for anything..to soak our feet,to have in the bath for back pain, tooth sick etc..my dad died when we was 93 years Old ..until he was in his 70s..never took aspirins, or paracetemol..only fresh air in the Farm..here in the UK try to do the same..

Helps prevent infection in minor cuts and scrapes. My mother grew up in the Depression, and we didn't go to the Dr until we tried Epsom salts. I am 70 and still use it.

YEARS ago my left leg swelled up to swhere I could not bend it and limped when I " walked " . I expect it was the result of a car accident in 1990 . Where I broke my left kneecap and lower bone , simple fracture . I read about Epsom Salt used for inflammation . I then each day would soak in a bathtub of HOT water with at least 4 cups ? of it as long as I could stand . After 5 days ? the swelling went away and leg was normal .

    1. It's good for postpartum episiotomy stitches. Take a 16 Oz bottle with a spout (one of those water bottles is great), add a teaspoon of ES and fill the rest with tepid water, sit on the toilet, and spray the stitches. It feels so good. It relieves pain, the water cools the area, and it cleans it. 2. I also used it on my breasts during breastfeeding. Wet a cotton round with the same solution of ES/water, clean nipple before and after feeding. If you are really sore, wet a beast pad and place it in nursing bra for about 15 min. It will soothe the raw nipple (used black tea bags also work). 3. Lastly, if your newborn has a rash anywhere, use a wash cloth wet in the ES solution on their rash. It will balance the pH of the skin to allow it to heal (works on cradle cap too. Add a smidge of a&d ointment for good results on the rashes and cap. Rash will begin to clear after a couple of days). I've tried all of these and they work. Got these from my Doctor and my mom. ❤

A life saver! A hot very salty compress can remove nasty zits that are getting infected, I've prevented infections with it when you just know its going too,, and I heavily used this for a boil I had on my forehead as a teen (good times). Hot as you can take it, very salty, keeping hot with new hot water, enough salt to keep dissolving over the 15 min session. A gross thing that happened is I was able to pull a large ⅜ ² plug of green jellied puss from the boil,(it wanted out) wich healed very quickly, no scar.
