I think George is the future of the Ramsey brand. Allocating resources to repackaging the Ramsey teachings into something more engaging and visually impressive will give Ramsey a broader audience and at the end of the day enable more people to achieve financial freedom. Appreciate this new endeavor George, keep it going!

Hmmmmm. Sorry George you Need to redo this video with Rachel Cruze! Because moms know all the hacks. 1. Pack granola bars ( do NOT pay for airport granola bars). 2. Pack lots of snacks 3. Eat free food at the hotel if available 4. Google the rules of the places you are going to (If you can take your own PBJ inside Disney do it, this will save you $200 in food expenses) 5. If you are staying at a place with a washer and dryer you can save money on luggage by packing a small ziplock bag of laundry detergent. 6. If you are renting a house you can cook some of your own food at the place you are visiting to save on restaurant fees. 7. Make a packing list. A lot of my expenses throughout the years have been having to buy more sunscreen, deodorant, swimsuits because somebody forgot theirs from last year didn't fit. And sometimes we are in places where those things are expensive.

Yes to all of the above!! Snacks and Dollar Store toys/coloring books to keep kids busy while traveling. VRBO so you have a real kitchen to cook simple meals (menu plan before you go). Or a hotel with "free" breakfast - just make sure it's a full breakfast and not just pastries or you will have cranky kids mid-morning! Decide before you go which meals are important to you to eat out and which restaurants or type of food you want to try. Also, make a list of activities and places to see - then prioritize the list with your spouse. Planning ahead of time not only reduces costs but also reduces stress by managing expectations so no one gets upset when their must-see activity doesn't happen.

Read the fine print in the discount airlines bag policy. Frontier Airlines will hit you with a $99 charge at the gate if your carry on item is larger than the dimensions that they allow. And the gate agents get $10 of that so they're always looking for people with bags that won't fit their dimensions. and there's not much you can do at that point because you don't want to miss your flight. It happened to me once with a briefcase that I've carried on countless flights before which easily fits under the seat in front of me.

Your employer may have travel discount codes as a employee benefit but HR is terrible at telling people about them. Check with your HR department and if they have one it can save big bucks. Mine for example knocked about $500 off our most recent vacation week long car rental. Also Skiplagged is another great one for flights.

I would never rent out my personal car to strangers. Most people have car payments. If they wreck your car it’s a hassle. Also if you don’t tell your insurance company you renting out your car as a side hustle they might not cover or r reimburse your claim. They normally don’t like you using your car for business without paying extra premium. DONT DO IT

Im grateful for people who rent their cars out on Turo. You skip all the BS at the car rental counter and walk straight to car. Plus you rent the type of cars you would never be able to otherwise. Downside though is that Turo doesn’t cover flat tires even with insurance.

When you search you definitely have to clear your cookies or search in incognito mode so its not tracked. Also, southwest if you search for 1 ticket versus multiple, more often than not, the individual one is cheaper. Also keep checking rates because if they go down within 24 hours you get cash. If more than 24 hours you get travel credit.

Shoulderseasons are called shoulders seasons due to the fact that not a complete country has vacation. In the Netherlands the country is divided into 3 regions (Upper, middle and lower). Each region has the same amount vacation time but schools vacations start depending on the region. In high season all regions have vacation while in the shoulderseason only 1 region already or still has vacation. I don't know if other countries do the same but this is how the Netherlands does it.

I'm not sure I understand your aversion to credit cards. I pay mine off every month, so I don't have to pay any interest or fees, but I get 6% back on groceries, 3% back on gas and travel, 2% back on eating out, and 1% back on everything else. That's hundreds of dollars in my pocket every year. And you can set up your payments to be automatically linked to your checking account, so you don't forget. Of course, you have to budget for all your purchases, but that goes without saying.

Be very careful using third party sites to book airline tickets. If you’re determined to book with them, always read the fine print and know what you’re getting. Often if you’ve booked on these sites and any of your flights go sideways, you have little to no protection for necessary re-bookings, etc. And we all know how bad weather or a short mechanical delay can throw a big ol’ monkey wrench into a day of traveling. As someone who works in aviation, I can say that the best way to book is directly thru the official site of the airline you want to travel on. You’re spending a little more now for the peace of mind that comes from knowing a delay isn’t going to be a big headache for you-and likely a bigger expense also.

Drop off your clothes at a laundromat before your flight home. This way, when you pack, all your clothes will be neatly folded and clean, saving you the hassle of doing laundry once you get home. An added bonus is you won't have to travel with a suitcase full of dirty and smelly clothes.

Tsa rechecks new slogan: Pay us. And we might not molest you. Maybe. I do precheck because I always get searched 😂😂😂😂. And my credit card gives me it for free. How I save money traveling? I prefer to drive than fly. If it's a wash I fly. I prefer to camp instead of hotels. You often can find places to shower. Truck stops. The camp ground may have one. Etc. And I prefer airbnb for longer trips as it tends to be cheaper. Also.. if my trips goals means I'm more likely to not be at my rental. I go with the cheapest place that isn't a roach motel. If I expect to be in my rental a fair amount. I will spend more on comfort. I prefer to book any flights several months ahead. I prefer to cook my own food and not dine out. I rarely buy souvenirs. And if I didn't drive... I prefer mass transit or low tech travel. Most importantly. Buy experiences not things. I prefer unique experiences. That amazing waterfall in whatever island?the one that costs $50 to go to. Skip it. You can download a picture of it in 5 seconds. Probably find a first person walk up video. And 900 billion people are there. Instead.. ask a local. They'll tell you about that other waterfall nobody goes to that's about as good if not better. You'll have an amazing time. A unique adventure few people have done. And it'll be less if not free. One of my absolute best memories is this total random hike in Hawaii. I saw 4 people on the trail. Great hike. Great views.
