My grandfather was a bird breeder , as a small child I was fascinated with the genetics side of things , he started me off with a dozen birds at 12 and I used to breed and sell them in the local classifieds. This gave me a great understanding of the concept of dominant and ressesive and the way genetics work , I’m glad he shared that with me

Great video. Someone once told me that you can also get east west from having the food bowls directly on the floor vs having it raised. When the bowl is on the floor the feet turn out. When the bowl is raised their feet are straight.

FazeBBCox _ Man I’m Definately liking where you are taking this conversation. I think you can breed different sizes but there’s a couple of catches. First let me say I’m a proponent of it and I do it myself. Main stud in my yard is a Standard with both Big and Small Blood Behind Him. That’s one catch, It must have Blood to the size your breeding to within it. I have bred #FireBall my Main Stud to #Azu and XXL Female and I have had great results on Generation 1. I have varying sizes within the same bloodline in my yard. I did this because When I breed for generation 2 if there is any size discrepancy I can clean it up immediately if that makes sense. My female is a chocolate Trindle (tri) the sure is a blue tri. According to this the litter will be all tri's?

Inbreeding and line breeding isn’t bad when the specimens used are genetically tested and clear of any diseases and are healthy specimens with great rears etc. but the only downside is if the blood gets too close dogs can get 6% smaller depending on COI , never roll the dice on average dogs and expect a gem to come out , you’ll never find a perfect housewife in your local strip club .

I have an XL bully female with Gotham bloodline and want to mate her with a Standard Stud male. I’m only doing so to maybe achieve a more muscular/Stocky look on the puppies but with standard height. Will this impact her pregnancy or puppies in a wrong way if the male is Standard but she is XL?

FazeBBCox _ Man I think there’s a strong correlation between what you saw in the bird game and Genetics in the Bully Game. I could be wrong and Definately birds have different amounts of chromosomes. But to varying degree genetics is genetics and behaves similar in many many cases.

No not correct. You can have common blood yet be distant enough for it to not be inbreeding. Example Unvle with Niece or even cousins is considered LineBreeding.

I'd like to weigh in on this however inbreeding is a very practical tool it is how you make hydrogenous dogs I'm very careful when I do inbreeding I keep close eye on structure and temperament you can either get the very best of the best or you get the worst of the worst if you keep anything back out of an inbreeding like that you'll want to out it with something that's totally unrelated that's just as nice and is hydrogenous as itself to breed back into

Fam do not breed two Merle carriers. The breeder you bought from should have explained this to you from the start. Pups run the risk of having hearing and vision problems

Before getting into the Dog game we use to Train horses and Breed gamecocks I was always told never to breed siblings or heavily inbreed them they were nice gamebirds but had defects they were cowards birds horses as well to much of the same blood and almost a guarantee the horse would not be more then an average or below average horse in the track sonit doesn’t really change with the dogs then interesting i was told by another breeder when I got in that it was different smh some people don’t want you to learn at all
