@@disneyvillainsfan1666 Well, Azula has "friends" by ruling them with fear. Zuko hasn't found his way after the Agni Kai against his father and his banishment. Think of it this way, Zuko has more of a personality mostly coming from Ursa, their mother. Azula on the other hand takes her personality from Ozai. I suppose to top things off, she shot Iroh on the chest, then he quoted that she's crazy. I have to agree with the forgiveness scene JUST because it perfectly represents Iroh as a parental figure who unconditionally loves and supports his child figure through everything that has happened. It is the true final example as to how much more of a loving father Iroh was to Zuko than Ozai. Ozai was abusive and Iroh the complete opposite. Even when he was upset at Zuko or raised his voice, he NEVER stopped loving Zuko and THAT is what makes this scene my #1.

There's a graphic novel that is from Iroh's perspective about some of this...he talks about his relationship with his brother and how they were distant when they were young. I believe he wondered if there was anything he could have done (tho to be fair Ozai was disturbing). He described growing up in the Fire Nation and having to live up to what his father and grandfather wanted for him...and he adored his son of course.
@jameswest6232

A prequel focusing on Iroh and his family would be interesting. - As for Ozai becoming Firelord instead of him, though, there wasn't a fight. Iroh was devastated by the loss of his son and when he learned that his father was dead as well (not knowing that Ozai had orchestrated his death along with his wife's disappearance), he didn't feel he was worthy of being in charge. - His change in ideology and spirituality came over time through his travels, grieving his son, and bonding with Zuko over their losses

Iroh: It's more of demonstration, really. Me: Yass! Demonstrate! Demonstrate! That was so cool! I love how Iroh tells Zuko that Azula was crazy and she needed to go down. It means that he should never underestimated her - that she was thwarted so much by her father that's she's seriously kill her only sibling to please him. That made the Agni Kai so much more serious and sadder. I loved that "Leaves from the Vine" was included in the kid's show. It showed that Iroh was truly born of learning from the mistakes of his past. And I liked that though he lost his son, he treated Zuko not as a replacement for him, but as his own person, and showed Zuko he could find his own way. I agree with the number one of this vid yes.

Iroh is the wisest and most sympathetic person in the show, and if he says that someone's crazy, you should his advise.

Good list but there is one glaring omission that didn't even get an honorable mention: "Whatever you do to that spirit I'll unleash on you tenfold! LET IT GO NOW!" This line was the moment I knew Iroh would be a massive standout for the series as a whole Also it was his observation about Yue that helped her realize how she could help...
Iroh’s fun loving personality is one of the best parts of the show for me
I get emotional every time I watch Iroh sing "Leaves From the Vine", and every time I see his and Zuko's reconciliation

The scene of iroh forgiving zuko always hits me so hard it’s a reminder that people are prefect they lose there way and mess up sometimes badly but they can change and gain forgiveness and I think that’s beautiful

I wish we got an episode where we saw his past his relationship with his brother father and his son sister-in-law his nephew and niece and how he became spiritual I think that would be after his son died the Fire Nation has gone too far and what he thought of ozai being firelord did they have an Agni Kai as well? We didn't get to see him in action when he was all built when he broke out of prison on the day of black Sun.

@jameswest6232

I'll always say this show is a masterpiece
Somebody: "I'm sorry, but I don't like Iroh." Avatar's fandom: "So you have chosen death." Before anybody goes after me because of this comment, let me explain. Yes, I do like Iroh very much. This was just for a joke.

7:17 This whole scene of Iroh blowing up at Zuko jut shows that even the calmest people can only be pushed so far before they rip you a new one, or fifty.
Numbers 2 and 1 on this list made me cry. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME!!!! It also proves that Iroh has a big heart.
Iroh was always the best and the wisest character in the Avatar universe. Also I’m so glad they added my personal favorite Iroh quote “No, she’s crazy and she needs to go down” 😂
Iroh: It's more of demonstration, really.
7:29 - TOO LATE!! Been crying after the two minute mark!!! Iroh cannot be venerated enough!! Anything Iroh says is sorely needed during these trying times!
Iroh was like the Asian version of "The dude" from "The Big Lebowski" great character
Iroh telling aing that even if you're in a dark tunnel and don't see the light at the end, you will find the light if you keep going. While leading him in light with his firebending explains exactly how he was. Leading people away from darkness with his own light.

I hardly cry at anything but this is one of the times I did
Everyone has a Iroh in our lives sometimes it’s the last one we think about at first until something happens and we see who’s there for us and will never abandon us no matter what. some people has more than one and may have just one. They only have to through blood family but also people you call family
the most heartbreaking is forgiving Zuko for letting him rot in prison saying "I was never angry with you I was scaried you'd lose your own way"
Every time he was on screen ❤️❤️❤️
*Uncle, I know you might have mixed feelings abou-* Hold back the tears. *Iroh hugs Zuko* RILEY I SAID HOLD BACK THE FUCKING TEARS
Perhaps because A:tLA came out when I was already an adult, I always found Iroh the most relatable.
The build up to leaves from the vine tears every aFing time and i love it
Hearing Leaves from the Vine always opens the waterworks for me.
Iroh was just like my grandpa (god bless him). Its sad that he couldnt whatch me growing up like iroh could with zuko. Thats why i like Iroh as a character, a good hearted and whise man, with a sense of humor.
1:32 Zuko knew what's gonna go down "welp, all your asses are screwed"
I wish Iroh was my Uncle 😭

Top 10 times Iroh was the best character in Avatar the Last Airbender... *FOOLS! IROH IS THE BEST CHARACTER IN ATLA!*
Dragon on the west made tea look so deadly.
He was the best character basically every time he spoke. When he wasn't being the wisest, he was being the funniest.
Iroh is such a gentle man and I admire how kind he was towards Zuko despite how his nephew was so rotten towards him for a while.
I love how his best moments weren't fighting, but wise words
Miss Mojo, I love yo work
It was iroh 's unconditional love that make zuko from hunting to helping aang. Agree or not
He’s always the best character
There is no need for this video, all of his moments are the best
7:27 the whole time he was on this episode was just insanely wholesome.
You left out the best part of Iro roasting Zhao: "Even in exile, my nephew is more honorable than you."
When they say "with age comes wisdom" definitely meant Iroh. He's the kind of old man I would listen to
Iroh has some of the greatest lines in both ATLA & LOK.
Iroh was ALWAYS the best character.
We need an all series about him, how he pass from a warior to an wise man
1:30 Iroh: FIRE DRAGON ROOOOOOOAAAAR!!!
My favorite character of all! Strive to be as wise as him
I was going to be so upset if Iroh forgiving Zuko and being the most amazing parental figure of all time wasn’t at #1 because THAT is TRUE unconditional love.........Thank you Ms. Mojo. This scene perfectly represents Iroh as a parental figure who unconditionally loves and supports his child figure through everything that has happened. It is the true final example as to how much more of a loving father Iroh was to Zuko than Ozai. Ozai was abusive and Iroh the complete opposite. Even when he was upset at Zuko or raised his voice, he NEVER stopped loving Zuko. As someone who doesn’t have parents like that, I cried so hard when I first saw this scene because Iroh is the kind of parent every child deserves. THAT is what makes this scene my #1.
We all need a person like Iroh in our lives.
Uncle Iroh is my second favorite character. Zuko is my favorite because of his character arc. However I can’t deny that Iroh steals the show because of his personality, funny moments, love and guidance for Zuko and his wisdom. Iroh is like a combination of Mr. Miyagi, and Yoda.
Basically the whole series when Uncle Iroh speaks, nuggets of wisdom arrive. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I wish a flashback episode was made that showed him as a reluctant conquerer who only did it from fear of Azulon. What stuff never happened on the show that you wish happened ?
How are y’all going to ask us to hold back the tears on “Leaves from the vine” leaving the only other obvious choice of “I was never angry. Just sad, cause I thought you lost your way” as number 1. Granted two different kinds of tears but both moments definitely bring tears to my eyes
when i was younger i didn't like tea until after i bonded with Iroh i started drinking tea
7:28 How could you tell me to hold back my tears
Mako really gave his character so much personality

So hard not to cry listening to leaves on the vine.
It’s you I like and I like you just the way you are you make each and every day a special day by just your being you and the best person you will ever hope to be is your honest self! It’s such a good feeling to know your alive and well in this truly unique world and what a good feeling it is to know that we are truly life long friends and that there is no one else like you in the whole world and I like you just the way you are you made this day a special day by just your being you.
I clicked on this video not expecting to be brought to tears. Oh what a fool I was...
Trick question! Iroh is always the best character!
Every time I heard leaves from the vine gets me to wish I could help my dad survive a little while longer.
He was the true fire lord (p.s. I once saw a comment on a video where Iroh sung leaves from the vine saying that it was about his voice actor saying goodbye to us as well as his character mourning his son which just makes it ten times sadder).
So many wonderful moments with Iroh it is hard to place in order.
Well just play every time he is in the show, that’s when he is the best, even when he ain’t on the screen he is the best
No... Iroh, don't start crying....stoppit! Damn it! Now I'm crying. 😭😭😭😭 Damn it. #1 made me cry more!!! 😭😭😭😭😭
Number 1 was deserved! But i also like the scene when Iroh told Zuko that Roku was his great-grandfather!

Top 10, even with honorable mentions, really does cut it for Iroh. There are so many more that should have been in this list, like Iroh threatening Zhao at the North Pole. Top 10 just isn't enough, and that says a lot about his character.
