#1 also you have to remember Nick Valentine has the memory of the real world pre-war Nick Valentine, which probably includes religious beliefs. Hence why he starts praying. Plus Boston is a very very religious city.

I love the mining helmet. After an incident I had involving 1 of my provisioner, 2 deathclaws, and about 15 exploding teddy bears, I started putting mining helmets on all my provisioner so I could more easily identify them out in the waste

If you build a display manikin in a settlement you can equip it with a mining helmet and the light will shine. it makes a unique light that doesn't need a power source.

The mining helmet also gives you the option to have a light at all, when you are out there in a power armor and your pa-helmet gets destroyed

I just change the pipboy color to white, this also changes the flash light color. Though I guess if you prefer the green or any other color for your screen this comes in handy.

The mining helmet was in my inventory the first 3 times I did play the game. But this time I just changed the color of my pip-boy with a bright (de-saturated) light blue and it's light now does more than any flashlight.

I hope Oswald The Outrageous is going to be in the fallout show that would be great

No, the Everyone's Best Friend allows you to take a humanoid companion as a third wheel. Dogmeat is the ride or die boy. Companions who aren't Dogmeat are just a trial that has to be endured to earn a new perk, at which point they can farm tatos while the true companion takes his place.

It is also possible to change the color of the light emitted by the mining helmet at the armor workbench.

@@KRAFTWERK2K6 Its a cheap tactic, but if I'm given the quest to clear out College Square, I'll not enter that subway station for some time. Each trip I make between Starlight & Hangman's Alley will yield (on average) 16-20 aluminum & 4 nuclear material from scavenging cans, canisters, & clocks. I also do that to stock up on anti-freeze bottles for berry mentats. Giving guards & provisioners a plasma weapon & a single round also means I'll occasionally find goo piles w/ free nuclear material. Survival mode means I have to hoof it. May as well make the best of each trip, farming legendaries & the like. The area will reset each trip. The Scrapper perk also really helps w/ aluminum. Other than that, Arturo sells shipments & Alexis Combes, the general store vendor in Vault 81, has a shipment slot which is randomly filled by a rare shipment of aluminum, fiber optics, oil, nuclear material, etc. Apologies for the long response.

Well, I knew everything except the mining helmet....time to go spelunking. Awesome vid! :D

The church thing is really cute. I was in one derelict church with Curie once and she sat down and prayed too.

I put the Mining Helmets on my settlers so I know where they are. The light stays on so they are easier to keep track of

So, in my last playthrough, I managed to have Deacon both in the Memory Den and outside in Goodneighbor as a trader. I don't remember how I managed this, but yeah, I cloned Deacon.

The more I play this game I love it! SURE, it's not perfect but there's just so much to do, the lore is a bottomless pit and even the soundtrack is a work of art!

if you open a door/crate/whatever with a "Tension Trigger" and a "Makeshift Bomb", you can actually disarm the bomb if the trap is activated if you're fast enough to click it

I wish I had known about the mining helmet sooner. I'm on probably my 5th play through and it wasn't until recently that I figured that out. The combat armor helmet also has one but I haven't found one yet to try it out

Combat armour is just for show, it doesn't use the light which always bugged me.

You can also just change the RGB settings of the pipboy, to make a bright white light.

the power armor light is so much worse than the pip boy light it barely lights up anything.

You can actually still get companions to tell you to heal dogmeat, if said companion is in a settlement with dogmeat and dogmeat gets downed they will say the voicelines.

You can adjust the hue in settings.... making it white works like the mining helmet.

Yeah, there is a new Zealand girl in New Vegas, and I'm sure there are others. The accents would have been weeded out in the first generation so this 100% suggests Trans oceanic travel.

Boston has a large population of people who decent from Irish immigrants, so the accent may have survived in the region. But there is also a Norwegian speaking raider gang living in a grounded cargo ship, so maybe Europe has recovered from the war enough to have people sail across the ocean.

You actually get to meet a man from England in Fallout New Vegas (or Fallout 3 I forget lol). It's implied the UK was bombed as well, but there are still survivors like in the US. The man still has an accent and came here looking for financial opportunity; so it stands to reason Cait really is from Ireland.

DC Security would criticize her as being one. the fact is that she was grown up postwar, born unto, and raised by abusive parents. who she later killed after successfully fled slavers guild (and she probably killed all of them first, suggesting why there are no big slaver network in the Commonwealth and the Railroad would have no next enemy to maintain their Raison d'Etre once The Institute is destroyed. She never know what religion is. but Sole Survivor would know what Christianity of any kind is. and how it is maintained. or even if all Nicaean Churches are unified.

Hm nope you cam romance companions, so not like Fallout 3 and slightly better than New Vegas it is similar to Skyrim bit better.

I've got to share this...I don't like the bad language in the game, I get fed up with the same phrases- can't be helped, it is what it is- so I was discussing this with my hubby, that in fallout 5, I hoped they could make a mod that allows you to cut out the language. We ended up in stitches making up alternatives for raiders, like, " I say, old chap, you seem to have wandered into the wrong neighbourhood. Regrettably, I must use this mini gun to perforate your organs. I'm terribly sorry!"" Or, " I notice your hair is out of place, allow me to fix it by tapping your head several times with this aluminium swatter!" 😂😂😂😂😂

They did to FO4 the same thing they did to Skyrim. Get F4SE 0.7.2 and re-eval all your mods. Not all mods will work with the up-date. Hope this helps.

@@love4bodymod Honestly, valid; besides, Dog is agnostic and I think that the robots are atheist, so if you don't wander around with humans I doubt that it's even going to come up.

None of these are things "you can do" as you titled. There just things everyone already knows...

Pretty sure the dogmeat one isnt true. The voice lines are most likely there because of the mission where you search for Kellogg
