one people dont talk about is the button inputs compared to storm 4 the responsive of you input has been reduced or outright blocked until the animation ends. it also doesnt help that you cant practice while you wait on ranked because you will either disconnect or have you button commands scrambled due to a glitch.

I just bother with the numbered titles even if none of them are perfect. At least in the first 3 games, the narrative presentation blew younger me away with its manga-accuracy and appealing 2D-to-CGI visual transition.

Solid video for sure. Cover all the main points. Personally, I'd like character creation too, and as someone else said, I'd throw in Suigetsu with a giant awakening too. Glad you mentioned Jugo tho; you mentioned the other awakenings and characters missing too

I've been saying this for years back in generations but you will be very surprised

I really hope they add a tint system or some kind of color editing because there are too many characters who only have one alternate color while others, mainly leaf ninja, have multiple colors with multiple costumes. The updated customization is a good start and I hope they improve on it.

Hey man great video!! I actually had a question for you? How do you feel about the combat in this game? Attack even after you hit the ground, stopping a launch from a jutsu? I absolutely hate it and feel like the game is way too offense based now but you are much more experienced than me and I would love your take.. Also I still against people who know how to play defensively so I still feel that pain😂

I'm glad you enjoyed the video.. So you asked how I felt about the combat I feel like their is more combo potential than the other storm games and it is fast paced but I'm not a fan of how all things sync together you can do an air combo then go immediately into a ground combo in the other games I feel like it was more thought involved but now i feel like its more automatic based, what i mean is that their isn't much thought that needs to be used when your playing due to how user friendly the game is. And to address the other thing you said yeah they did make this game less defensive than the others but the defensive options in this game are mainly due to the faulty mechanics such as the super armored Justus and being able to cancel a majority of the techniques. I hope that answered your question. (Also from your comment it sounded like your either new to storm games or new to playing them online if you are i suggest that you only play with a specific friend group instead of ranked and casuals at least you will be able to have some enjoyment with your boys!)

jup.. i love to play 1 support teams, my main team is sasuke 5 kage summit and zabuza, but if i face a shino with pain and naruto it MUST be a perfect blue bar or i just lose.. and even then, i even feel like the accidently switched up the fact that in past games 1 support loaded back faster then when you use 2 but on this game it even feels that 2 supports load back even faster..

In 3, when base Kavuto hits Mei Terumi with that final Chakra dissection blade after the soul technique, her scream was eerie and agonizing and awesome. Now, when they are killed with ultimate jutsu, they are silent. Ugh

3:48 what's worse about the gaara is that only 1 of them goes into shukaku mode. That's the only difference with those 3. All same jutsus, all same combos, all same ults

I love how in every video about connections i see the same players i play with on steam. There's hardly anyone playing this damn thing so it's always the same people lol. I bought it because steam in Argentina was about to switch to US dollars payments, and buying early in pesos cost me like 7 bucks, but i'm not spending a cent for DLCs

I would love shizune and sumire but I also liked the side story I loved nanashi I really hope she becomes dlc

1:22 the reason for that is the game is rated pegi 12 same with hitting sounds for example sasuke's sword slash sounds childish/squeaky instead of real flesh cutting sounds and when you hit characters there is no blood no bruises no cutting wounds because of the rating if they posted that blood and the features i mentioned this game would get at least pegi 16 in japan the rating is taken pretty seriously its not like in europe/usa where parents can buy their childeren games like gta as for the previous titles back then (2008/2015) the rating rules werent sooo strict nowadays it is so to be able to reach a wider range for customers to buy that bandai made those censorships to get the pegi 12 rating

I have two things to say after finishing this. First, I think the original story is a good idea. In fact, it is quite literally the only time I have ever enjoyed the post-Naruto setting in Boruto. Using existing lore, tying the villain to Pain, and focusing on such things as the existence of shinobi in a world of peace - that is, IMO, what Boruto should be about. Focusing needlessly on the stupid aliens is just...it's not it, and I fucking loathe it. Now, I've had preferred this story in the cinemas as opposed to being tacked on to a game - and I think having more time would have done it better - but I don't begrudge them a new original story over whatever nonsense is going on in the anime and manga. And they did not care about pulling in Boruto fans, one look at the boxart should tell you that LMFAO. Secondly, it isn't your business who still plays the game. Whether or not someone thinks the game is "ass" but still plays it isn't relevant to you. I've not picked the game up since in AGES now, but if someone is continuing to play it, and gets any sort of fulfilment out of the game - that's on them, and you should let them.

This is probably one of the worst Naruto games ever. I agree with everything you are saying brother But also, I just want to get my platinum trophy tbh lol. Need all S rank fir main story (2 more) & 100 Titles.

The game mechanics is a lot more simple and easy in connections. It is good to a certain point, but it feels like the game does all the work for me than me grafting to get a high combo. I’m a PS user & without the trophies for this game it’ll be pointless… even the online mode is pointless

BEST VIDEO ON STORM CONNECTIONS! I ADDED THIS TO MY FAVORITES PLAYLIST! I can see you were inspired by SomeMoeGaming lol your video is very similar to his Top Problems with Storm 4! This was a well put together video! I absolutely enjoyed it! You literally named all my problems with the game in one video! As a dishonorable mention, the box art for this game is FUCKING HORRENDOUS! Probably the WORST looking one of all the Storm games! When the game was announce, this was the image they used as a "place holder," until the full game was out. But instead, THIS was the actually box art they wanted to use!?! In fact, it's the Storm Legacy box art, but with less effort put into it! Seriously! The Storm Legacy Collection is a FAR BETTER looking box art than this trash! They could have made up for it with adding The Last Naruto, or hell, Hokage Naruto! But no, "We're CyberConnect2, We don't put effort into fun." Also, you would think with "BORUTO'S" name in the title, he would share the spotlight with Naruto, but again, Nope. Anyways... I especially loved your speech at the end! You are exactly right! Naruto fanboys are complaining, but that's not stopping them from playing it. Which is NOT a good sign to see. It really does make CC2 think they don't need to try as hard to "please" the Storm community. Fans will still buy the game and play it. And worst of all, uploading gameplay footages of them playing the game consistently online. I hate to admit, but if I was in CC2's shoes and fans were complaining about the game but still playing and supporting it, I guess I wouldn't bother trying to fix the game either. That's also why CC2 doesn't bother trying to fix things. Say like, rage quitters that's been a problem for a long time. They don't punish rage quitters in these Storm games. And the community has been complaining about it. But who cares? The fanboys will still upload their gameplay footages and play the game. So why try to fix it? Exactly. I’m so irritated with the game it self because I was so excited to actually fight against jigen and isshiki but instead they decided to give us some stupid story that either didn’t happen in the series or that it happened later on, why on earth would they skin some of the timeline, I’ve noticed that in the other games they went with the timeline, I didn’t really care for the repeat of it but still, this game is absolutely BS, I really hope that they fix it because if not then we will most likely know what will happen, I totally agree with everything that this guy said and it boils my blood, I said finally I’m not the only one that’s pissed off about this 🙄🤦‍♂️

I agree with your opinion in most of the subjects, for me Naruto Storm Connections it doesn’t feels like a new Storm game at all, they changed only a few buttons commands and nothing more, the fact that they removed Tilts and they put the tilts moves on the second jutsus it's pretty lame, disappointing and lackluster, not to mention that they removed the jutsus selection completely from the beginning of the fight. 🤦🏻‍♂️ This game feels more like an update DLC than like an actual New Storm Game. But honestly, for me Storm 1 will remain the most Unique one from the series and the closest to the anime itself because of the very dynamic gameplay features, my reasons: Intro of characters before the encounter, unique jutsus that didn't came back to the other Storm games, longer and diverse movesets for almost any character, Awakenings in Storm 1 have also Ultimate Jutsus, Jutsus Clashes and Wall Fighting... and I can go on and on to state it why Storm 1 gameplay was the most unique one from the Storm Series, just try to Imagine Storm 4 gameplay with Storm 1 gameplay features, In my opinion that will be the Perfect Storm game. The First Storm game has the most Unique gameplay features perspective and the particular presentation of the game was so ahead of it's time in my opinion, the only downside of the first Storm game was the very lacking Story Mode Interactions, and from Storm 3 the developers cut and shortned the movesets of characters, that's why I don't agree with their choices. (By the way, my favourite Storm games and I will put them in my personal order will be: 1.Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 1 and Generations. (these have my favourite vibe and charm of the anime itself because of the dynamic gameplay features) 2. Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 2( for the unique Story and some Unique Boss Battles and let's not forget that Iconic "Calm Before the Storm" OST from the Characters Selection Screen and many more diverse soundtracks) 3. Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 Full Burst (Because of the more well-rounded diverse Story Perspective and very epic Boss Battles and also the soundtrack "Outside Konoha" and others soundtracks as well) 4. Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 (mostly because of the unique option to change/switch between your characters team during the fight, this particular option mechanics should've been already in the game from the very first Storm game in my opinion) 5. Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution (because of the abused and annoying Counter mechanic) 🤷🏻‍♂️

I will say, though, the whole story with Nanashi wasn't super terrible. The fact it was just fighting with Boruto behaving almost more like his dad than his dad himself was a little annoying, but Nanashi and the sealing ideal was interesting. If it wasn't for that true ending, the way it initially ends would have been super sad, sorta like Haku. However, harnessing her power and making up a new Mangekyo technique was kinda badass, and seeing Naruto and Sasuke fight was epic. The visuals weren't bad in that story. The expressions were kinda on point. But the problem was, that's where all their energy and budget had to have went. It's sad in that manner. Also, bring back ninja tool customization. I miss the Level 3 lightning kunai that can stun, and the sleep tags. Oh, and I mentioned Mei Terumi before, but if you have the 4th game, end someone with her ultimate jutsu in that game, and then do it in connections. Listen to her English cutscene, "it's a shame but, I'll watch you melt.... Oooooh!" The difference is hilarious.

2 things i wanna point out about why this game combat suck right now: 1) Right now every fight is a competition of who can throw more jutsus, every intention of doing something more tactical has gone, and one of the reason (outside of superarmor jutsus) is that chakra loads automatically, which encourage the players to keep spaming jutsus. 2) Supports are broken, not only they’ve superarmor as well, but they also charge way faster that in Storm 4.

I can actually defend #8 because this isn't ninja storm 5. It's one of those in between games which explains why certain features like costume customization was brought back and it has its own custom story. Unlike the other games there is no animated scenes (that I know of) or any new mechanics like the tournament mode from ninja storm revolution. This also sadly means that we won't have an updated game with a good Naruto story mode. The next game will most likely be purely Boruto story mode wise. My only hope is that they're releasing this as a test or something for the actual NS5. This was still clearly a cash grab game from a huge company for a huge series that we haven't gotten any content from IN YEARS. This is worse than just lazy. This looks like they're sabotaging it on purpose because you can still be lazy and have at least some creativity. Plus a game series like this isn't something that ANYBODY should be lazy for.
