I met Laurelle (his mum) at Troyes first Blue Neighbourhood show which was held in his (and my) hometown of Perth, Western Australia. I walked through the doors and screamed when I saw her. It was like an out of body experience, I don't know why I did it but I did. She was the kindest person ever, she just screamed back and bear hugged me. Also later on in the show she was in the mosh to bring Troye's singing teacher to the front where they held hands and the teacher burst into tears. One of the best nights on my life

I found it adorable that he mentioned his dog and his mom. It's great that even though he is touring all over the world, he is keeping his family close and he is not ashamed to show it. (Not that being close with your family is something to be ashamed of, but so many of celebrities nowadays are trying to look super cool and act like they don't need anyone, so I found this refreshing and nice)

that's what i love about him. he acts like an actual human being, not an image his label created or a fantasy he is projecting. He always mention that being a pop artist is a job for him..
