What mode of transportation would you recommend for a foreigner to go from Manila to Tagaytay and back? Grab? Bus?

@@sharkretired2358 Bus would be the best mode! I don’t think a Grab car will accept any booking from Manila to Tagaytay 😄

@@sharkretired2358 there are a few drivers that will take you there using the Grab app. I've done it 3 times back in 2019. However, each time that I booked on grab, the drivers always negotiated a different rate than the app since the app has no passengers in that area. Therefore, be prepared to pay 75% to 100% more than the app rates. It's a useful option especially if you have a great deal of baggage to bring into the area. On the way home, your choice is only a bus or, if you can arrange it, a private car to bring you back to your origin.

I spent a week at Tagaytay. I enjoyed the view of the crater lake. I never saw the theme park when I went. I highly recommend Tagaytay. Sure beats Metro Manila.

Cool list. The best part about living in Manila is getting out of metro manila. I have turned into a complete lush since I moved here. My mom's favorite hotel is Taal Vista because she says it was famous since she was a kid. I like Escala. It's more for active lifestyle.

Sorry but i had to stop that video half way. I live in London and these prices are ridiculous. consider they are charging prices only 30% below uk prices and paying their staff only 500 pesos a day.

I am with you. Those prices are equally as high as the prices here in the US. Why travel over 8K miles overseas to pay for the same thing you get here. She appears to be marketing those hotels for the hotel owners to help them make money and she earns her commission. I am sure much cheaper accommodation are available elsewhere.

Those prices negate the reason for going there to the Philippines ? They cost as much as many places in the US ! People are looking for cheaper prices to save money not pay the same or almost the same as the US. + Air fair is ridiculous now compared to what it was pre pandemic. All Americans aren't made of money. - - - Tagaytay is a nice place but soon only the wealthy will be able to afford to go there.

Generally, prices at message spas in hotels are higher than elsewhere. But, I think those prices are unreasonable.
