I love videos like these where owners can admit and point out the negatives. People tend to only focus on the positive to justify their recent purchase (and that's understandable with a $60k plus vehicle). I'm glad you pointed out the seats and stuff, I haven't found one locally to sit in yet

Feel the same about the multipro tailgate. My dad bought a Sierra 3500 with it and it makes using a forklift to put pallets and what not in the bed a breeze. No more scratching the bedliner cause you have to push whatever it is into the bed.

I do like the origami tailgate. Definitely better than the other brands' equivalents. But what I like even more is having a pickup bed at a more ergonomic height. 20-30 years ago, it was typical for a pickup bed to be like knee-to-thigh high unless he truck was specifically modified for off-road use. Now every truck - the vast majority of which will never see anything other than suburban pavement for their entire service lives - have their bed hip-to-waist high. So contrivances like origami tailgates with integrated staircases and motorized cabin sidesteps push the price and complexity of the vehicle up.

I'm currently on a business trip and have a 2024 1500 Sierra SLT as my rental car (free upgrade from the Corolla I had booked) and it's by far one of the best trucks I've ever driven. I rented Tacomas, F-150s, Rams, and Tundras, and this GMC is by far the best truck I've driven. The infortainment is quite good and ride quality has been excellent so far. It's a great looking truck as well.

I agree with the video about the Onyx Black paint. What I also don't like is the auto-off feature. I have to turn it off everytime I start the truck. I would rather turn it on when I want to use it, instead of turning it off everytime.

Beautiful truck and your right their priced out of many ppl's budget. Average person can't work on them unless you want to buy $5,000 to $30,000 in tools and scanners depending how deep you can work on them . Myself I'll keep my old wore out Ford that I can work on & parts are not outrageous. The only thing that works on it is me , lol but I will keep my _46,000 to $ 80,000 cause it looks better in the bank than sitting on 4 wheels. Loved the Vid

Love your truck man. I’ve had my 22 refresh Silverado going on 3 months now and love it. Also black. First day I got it started using torque detail products on it. Their graphene ceramic spray is awesome. No swirl marks at all. You could do your truck in about 45 minutes. My one and only dislike about my truck is that I ordered it loaded out and it still doesn’t have a power seat for the passenger side. I did install the gloss door pillars and recon taillights that you put on stormtrooper and really set off the truck

I have a Denali refresh in quick silver which I wash twice a month by hand the past 3 months. I don't have swirl marks whatsoever, though the paint in incredibly thin and such pain in the ass as rock chips are already plaguing my front bumper. A bit dramatic about scratching it with a microfiber towel, but I get it. I generally don't agree with you about the connection being a pain its rather awesome not having connection issues. I did a road trip to Florida and didn't have any issues with my seats, they are softer than my 2500's that for sure, but they do need to be softened. I don't know if you have the GMC app to turn on and off your truck, but just a little info. if you leave your keys in the truck by mistake, thereafter remembering in middle of a meeting or something important. Lock the truck with the app and the doors will not open with the keys inside, in which the only way the truck will open is unlocking with the app or 2nd set of keys. Nice truck by the way!

    1. You have to subscribe to OnStar for the Nav System to work at all. The default layout is great (for 30 days) then it becomes completely useless unless you pay. 2. The lane keep assist is clunky compared to other vehicles and the adaptive cruise braking/acceleration is WAY too aggressive. Other systems are much more smooth. 3. When you turn foglights on during the day, the daytime running lights dim. The truck would look sick with the fang style lights plus fog lights, but the DRLs dim for no reason.

Recently traded the 3.0 AT4 for a 5.3 SLT. I do miss the ride height of the AT4, but I don’t miss the $5+ per gallon on diesel fuel. I pull a small boat and can’t tell the difference between the two motors. I also like the driving experience of the short bed on my SLT versus the standard bed on my AT4.

The seats are fine in these trucks. I've taken mine over many long trips. Additionally... the middle back seat armrest only sticks out because you have those ugly camo covers. Without them it sits flush.
